Army corporal, died at 2:41 gjn. Wednesday in the River Bluff Nursing home in Rockford after a two Mf. Kliver; a World War I veteran, spent 22 years in the U. S. Army.

He enlisted in 1903 and retired in 1925. He was the oldest member of Walter Craig post No. 60 of the American Legion, Rockford. Born Oct. 30, 1867 in Columbus Grove, Ohio, he the son of John and Margaret Kliver.

He attended Grove schools. Thirty years ago, he moved to Rockford from Belvidere. He was employed for some time as a night watchman at the Schumann piano company in Rockford. Survivors Include a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kliver of Rockford; three nephews, Lester and Lowell Kliver and Ray De Long, Rockford, and two nieces, Mrs. Mina Frickson and Mrs.
