The city council Friday night authorized, by a vote of 10 to 3, the paving of Allin street with concrete from Washington to Walnut street. project will cost approximately $27,069.15 and will provide a boulevard for north and south traffic in west part of the city, serving similar purpose as Clinton street on east side.

The motion favoring the project, which was recommended by the board of local improvements, was made by Alderman Val Simshauser. Aldermen George Summers, Charles Kurtz and Frank Donovan voted against it, the latter speaking opposition. Numerous Minor Requests. The council also accepted new pavements on South Bunn and South East streets on recommendation of the board. Numerous requests for improvements were considered by the council, a motion by Alderman Harting for permission to cut dead trees 611 and 619 West Oakland and 1302 North Western being allowed, and similar request for 906 South Bunn street being denied.

The Standard Oil company was given permission to make changes in filling station at Washington and Prairie streets; the B. Garbe, of 1312 West Walnut street, died in a Peoria hospital Friday morning following seven months' illness. He WAS a native of Bloomington, received his education Bloomington schools and spent most of his life a then in this city. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church. Clara M. Hudson, Harwood place, who died at St. Joseph's hospital Thursday night, will be held at the Urbana St. Patrick's church at 9:30 a. m.

Oswald, 74, of 706 West Monroe street, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 4:30 p. m. Friday. He had been ill last six years but had gone to the hospital just nine weeks ago.

Mr. Oswald was a native of Germany, having been born there Sept. 7, 1855. He came to America in March, 1871. He operated a barber shop on West Front street for a time and also served for 12 years as constable.

Surviving are his wife and four children; Fred K. Oswald, Cincinnati, Roy King, Butler, Lawrence HornMrs. beck, Whitehall; Mrs. Murryn Oswald, Detroit, and four grandchildren, George and Russell Oswald, Mildred and Margaret Hornbeck. Tetanus Causes Death of Martin, Is Verdict A verdict of "death caused by tetanus" was returned Friday afternoon in the M.

J. Martin inquest held at P. W. Coleman undertaking establishment. Mr.

Martin died at St. Joseph's hospital Friday morning after a week's illness when he stepped on a rusty nail, later developing into lockjaw, The funeral will be held at the residence at 9 a. m. Monday and at Holy Trinity church at 9:30 a. m.

Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The body will remain at Coleman's undertaking parlors until the funeral. Adolph Roggy Dies at Brokaw Hospital Adolph Roggy, of 1105 East Oakland avenue, died at Brokaw hospital at 6:30 p. m.

Friday after a long illness. Mr. Roggy WAS born in Princeton, Jan. 30, 1869, the son Nicholas and Elizabeth Roggy, early settlers in Illinois. In 1898 he married Ida May Phillipe, who survives.

Until a few years ago Mr. Roggy farmed near Downs. He leaves two children, Edna and Elmer at home, one granddaughter, Arlene; a stepmother, Mary Roggy: three brothers, Ralph and Arthw: of Princeton: Edmond of Leroy; a sister, Emma Dickerson, Ft. Dodge, Iowa. The deceased was member of the Second United Brethren church.

Rosenberger was born in Rockingham county, Va, Oct. 19, 1846, the son of Gedion and Dellia Rosenberger. He lived in Illinois for 25 years. In 1870 married Elliya Haga. Mr.

Westphal Funeral Today The funeral of Mrs. John Westphal, 90, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
