A< Uimafih! officiated at the rites and Arrial : wds in the St. Benedict Cemetery. Hamilton Funeral lame was in charge of arrangements. Mr Germann died last Thursday night at St. Ann hospital. Louis, son of Mr and Mrs Otto Germann, was born at St.. Benedict., Feb. 12, 1,884, and resided in this county all his life. He farmed in the St. Benedict area until lis retirement. He farmed the home place until moving' to Algona. After moving to Algona, he became well known as a gardener and raised flowers that brought him wide acclaim from those who saw them. Survivors include a brother Fred, Groton, So. Dak.; and three sisters, Mrs May Hanegan, Al- ?ona; Mrs Ed Brattved, Hay ward, Cal.; and Mrs Hattie Robinson, Mason City. Mr Taylor was a member of the Methodist Church. Pallbearers were M a y n a r d White, Dewey. Baker, William Rath, William Gifford, Howard Salisbury and Roy Sarchet. Woman, 89, A Visitor Here, Dies Funeral services for Mrs Emma Grimm, 89, of Boone, who died at St. Ann Hospital Sunday night at 11 p.m., were held at the Christian Church in Boone Wednesday at 2 p.m. McCullough's Funeral Home handled the arrangements here. Mrs Grimm had been in Algona for the past six weeks, visiting at the home of her daughter and son- in-law, Robert Steven. She became ill, March 31, was taken to the hospital April 2, and remained there until her death. She was a lifelong resident of Iowa, and was preceded in death by her husband ten years ago. She lived at Boone •until seven years ago, when she started living with her children in their homes. She is survived by four sonb and three daughters, including Alta (Mrs'Steven), 29 grandchiN dren, 58 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Amateur Show Held At Wesley Wesley — The annual amateur program was presented Friday vetting, April 15 in the High School Auditorium* Supt Charles Mullin was master of ceremonies. Mr and Mrs Beck and son and daughter of Forest City presented he opening musical number. In the junior division of con- estants Sylvia Ann Downs won irst prize 'of $5 with a vocal solo. Randy Nelson of Titonka won the second prize of $3, also for a vocal solo. In the adult division the first prize of $5 was awarded to Sharon jourley of Corwith with a pan- omime. The second prize of $2 was awarded for an accordian duet alayed by Joan Bormann and Irene Kenney. LuVerne Woman Loses Brother LuVerne—Mrs William Schipull received news of the death of her brother, Charles Schumaker, 69, a! his home in Webster City, April 14. • Attending the funeral services Saturday afternoon were Mr and Mrs Schipull, son Otto, daughter, ,Mr and Mrs Henry Hefty of Lu- Verne; sons, Mr and Mrs Lyle Schipull of Irvington. Mr and Mrs Ralph Schipull of Wesley, Mr and Mrs'Raymond Schipull of Hardy and another daughter, Mr and Mrs Fred Lupkes of Algona.
