DENTON JOURNAL, DENTON, MARYLAND Friday, July 11, 1947 Af St. Elizabeth's Church praycrbook. The matron of honor, Mrs. Ridgely Nichols, of Baltimore, 'wore a gown of yellow taffeta. The bridesmaids were Miss.

Eatricia Powers, sister to the groom; Miss Margaret Rose Linhard and Miss Jane F. Linhard, sisters to the bride. They wore gowns of pale green taffeta. The best man was Mr. Ralph B.

Mrs. Moore is the former Frances Ogden, of Baltimore Miss Margaret Allston spent the 4th-of-Juiy holiday with a party of friends on a sightseeing trip in New York State, Pennsylvania ard New Jersey.

At High Point Park, the highest place in New Jersey, Miss Allston climbed 250 steps to the top of the monument. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Beauchamp and daughter, Miss Mildred, were present at the funeral of Mr.

Howard Hardesty on Thursday at Bridgeville, Del. Miss Verna Mr. Burton Willey, and Mr. and Mrs. Virpil Daffin spent last week on a motor trip, going north as far as Niagara Falls, Canada, and returning by vay of Lake Erie Drive.

Mr. and Mrs. Merl Gordon, of Baltimore, havy announced the birth of a daughter, Mary Bernardinu Gor- don, on the 26th of June. Mrs. Gbr- don was formerly Miss Hazel Henry, of Denton.

Mr. Paul S. Thawley was home from New York to spend the 4th of July holiday with his family. He is taking a 6-month course of study in radio repair work at R. C.

Davis and daughters, Misses Nellie and Marie of Crisfield, were guests of Miss Addie L. Wilson on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lord enjoyed a family reunion and picnic July 4th at Green Point.

Bathing, fishing and boating was enjoyed by all. Miss Hilda Cade will leave this week for Medmay, where she' will spend a month with relatives. Mist Mildred Beauchamp spent last week-end with her sister, Mis? Jean, at Pennsfield Apartments, Easton. Dr. Edward W.

Vandegrift spent the 4th-of-July holiday with friends at Rehoboth Beach, Del. Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Horsey, of Wilmington, visited Hayward Horsey last week.

Mr. Samuel J. Faulkner und sisters, Louise and Lois Ann, spent Tuesday in Baltimore. Mrs. Fred Amonson, of Philadelphia, spent the week with Miss Addie L.

Wilson. Mrs. W. P. Draper, of Bradenton, Florida, is the guest of Mr.

and Mrs. Fred Owens. Mrs. Maud Smith, of Wyoming, spent the 'week-end with Mrs. Ella Jump.

M. Kemp Newnam B. F. Johnson (junior), and James W. Merriken spent the past weekend at Rehoboth Btach.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lord and daughter, Helen May, of Norwood, have returned home after a pleasant vacation with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lord, and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Cawley have returned from a visit to relatives in Peoria, 111.

They made visits in several states while on the trip and, before returning to Denton, they spent some days in Baltimore.
