Jellicoe also was a personal friend of Heath. It Was the most sensational case of its kind since 1963, when the Christine Keeler scandal forced War Minister John Profurno to resign and nearly toppled the government of Prime Minister Harold MacmiUan. In a statement Thursday to a packed House of Commons, Heath said as far as he knows, "Viva Peron." and "Peron, Peron, how great you are" echoed through the streets ail night. Government, sources said tightened security checks on government ministers is certain to follow the Lambton and Jellicoe resignations. This, officials said, will coincide with a general inquiry into security that Heath promised in his statement to parliament, meant to show he will not tolerate a Watergate-style coverup. But rumors of further ramifications of the seamiest sex scandal in a decade continued to spread in parliament and newspapers. A man described by newspapers as "a well-known duke with a large estate in this country" was reportedly one of the names police found in a pornography investigation in London's Soho nightclub district. It was this probe, which started about five months ago, that first put police on the track of the call girl vice ring, police sources said. Under Britain's stringent libel laws, it was impossible to publish or even hint at the "duke's" name, although it circulated widely by word of mouth. Despite Heath's statement, the names of other prominent persons outside the government also were bandied around as speculation spread among lawmakers. Sir Robert Mark, the commissioner of the London metropolitan police, said the man's name will remain secret unless criminal charges are filed When do you need a Realtor?
