enlistment in the army continued anxiety for sons brothers and relatives in the theater of hostilities and receipt of the first direct report of the safety of a Grand Island man who was at Honolulu during surprise bombing attack provided the highlights of local war news today The first to report himself uninjured in the attack on Hawaii was Paul Shattuck employed by the navy as an architect at abandonment of his wife Kathryn and their children is in the county jail pending fixing of sentence by County Judge Paul Kirk Hurley was arrested this morning by Deputy Sheriff Fred Griffin and shortly thereafter was taken before Judge Kirk for hearing Hurley did not plead guilty but he offered no defense except to plead that he had been unemployed for a considerable part of the six months
