Farm Cost Of Living Bonus Down 1 Percent cost of living bonus decrease at State Farm Insurance companies from 61 to 60 percent was announced, The by action company was the officials sec. ond to reduce the bonus since the plan's beginning in 1941. In the decrease was three percent, from 64 to 61 percent. The cost of living bonus is applicable only to the first $3,000 of yearly salary. The decrease was based upon consumer price index compiled the National Industrial Conference board for the first quarter of 1949.

Snodgrass, 405 East Front street, sexton at City cemetery, died suddenly Monday afternoon following a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Snodgrass was pronounced dead after being taken to St. Joseph's hospital. The body was taken to the Carmody Funeral home where funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Burial will be Mr. Snodgrass in Smith's Mr. Snodgrass Grove cemetery at Towanda. Mr. Snodgrass was born July 26, 1873, a son of Noah and Mollie Snodgrass.

He married Rebecca Erwin Sept. 26, 1896. died April 10, 1934. Mr. Snodgrass was, for many years, resident of Towanda where he was gaged in farming.

He came to Bloomington to make his home in 1922. On Oct. 9, 1936, he married Miss Thelma Malone who survives. Also surviving are eight children: Mrs. Alma Walden, 1108 Rosney avenue; Mrs.

J. Woltmann, resident engineer for the district, told the Young Men's club Tuesday noon at the Illinois hotel. "You'll have to cut your grass every other day if you put it on, he said. In reviewing the history of the plant, Mr. Woltmann said the desperate need of Bloomington and Normal and Decatur was responsible for the Act of 1917 concerning the establishment of dis tricts and has been used by many cities in creating such districts. The district has had three issues during its history since 1919. An early bond issue of 000 which took three referendums to pass, has been retired. All but $7,000 of a $400,000 bond issue in the 30s has been paid.

A bond issue of several years ago of $680,000 brings the total bonds issued for the district to 000. Mr. Woltmann reminded the club that the district had nothing to do with the sewers in both cities. The sanitary district is only charged with collecting and treating sponsible for sewage, water that it is not rebacking up The engineer said foresight in the 20s was responsible for building a processing station which could accomodate an of 000 persons, that he believes it to be one of the finest try and does not need to be expanded at present.
