This brings to 23.321 the total of navy, marine corps and roast guard casualties reported to next of kin since Doc. 7, 1941. The grand total includes 7.44(1 dead. 4.723 wounded and 11,158 missing. The casualties announced tndav did not include any men from southeast Kansas.

Craven when word wa first received by relatives of his i being wounded. i I 1 I 1 W. A Kindergarten Mrs. R. assisted by her daughter Jo Ann, started their filth year of conducting a summer kindergarten at their home on last Friday when 13 pupils met fur enrollment.

The kindergarten will meet every Thursday and Saturday between jtlie hours of 9:30 and 11:30 for 12 weeks. The program will consist of music, a rhythm band, hand craft and activities of various kinds. The children who hsve enrolled are Barbara and Larry Bryan, Bonine, Patty Jcnnrr.
