Wilson, who was released from the penitentiary yesterday morning, stands a splendid chance of returning to that institution to complete his full sentence, says the.Jcfferson City Tribune.

He was released under the three- fourths law for good behavior, but failed and refused to leave the city at once, as required by law, hence he must complete the full sentence. Judge Clarke sent him to jail yesterday, to remain until the March term of the circuit court, when Judge Robinson will, on indictment by the grand jury, send him back to the penitentiary. During the time Wilson was in the penitentiary his wife came here and worked at the home of Mr. L. C.

Isom, near the city. She secured a divorce from Wilson at the last term of the circuit court. Wilson declared that when released he would kill her. So yesterday morning he started to go out there. Sheriff Henderson heard of his threats and he went out with him.

After a conference with hii wife, the sheriff told him to return to the city with him. This he refused to do and ran down into a field. The woman then came to the city and the sheriff protect her, Wilson came back to tl city and pretended that he was going to leave on the afternoon train. He went into it, but got off before it started and came up Policeman Schmidt arrested him and took him before Judge Clarke who committed liim to jail to await tlie action of the circui court. Prosecuting Attorney Waldecker evidently desired that Wilson should not escape the officers, ant for that reason he filed informations for his arrest with both Justice Winston and Judge Clarke, which fact caused some little friction between the police and the constables of the township.

Sheriff Henderson would have held him, but as Wilson could not leave until the 2 train, he wanted to give him the opportunity to get out of town, if he really intended to do so. Judge Robinson sent two convicts back to the penitentiary at the last term of circuit court for not leaving the city as required by law, and Wilson is almost sure now to meet the same fate.
