LINDHORST Says: This campaign, aimed at supplying car owners with highway safety flares, is entirely worthy in every, respect and has the, endorsement of this office. We are all familiar with the way in which truckers set out flares at night, when their vehicle is stopped at! roadside. This is required by lav^fpr truckers. While not required by law for private motorists, flares can be an outstanding highway safety measure for highMime emergencies. It is a reasonable conclusion to make that the use of flares by private vehicles will serve greatly to lessen the number of darkness hoyrs accidents. • ""-*''*.,• J' ,'.'.'•.
