B-2 Mon Nov 27 1 978 The Modesto Bee Browns shock Rams The Los Angeles Times CLEVELAND With a playoff berth already clinched not on paper but in their minds or so they said the Rams were outplayed outscored and even sort of embarrassed by a football team that afford a letdown The Cleveland Browns laid it on Los Angeles 30-19 as quarterback Brian Sipe passed the Rams silly to keep the Browns in the hunt for a wild card playoff spot in the American Conference Now 7-6 and still two games behind second-place Houston in the Central Division On a cold (low 30s) clear afternoon at Cleveland Stadium a bundled-up crowd of 55128 saw the Browns play opportunisticly enough and the Rams sloppily enough for Cleveland to run up more points than anyone had against the proud defense since 1975 when Dallas scored 37 in a one-sided NFC championship game But if the loss here sting the Rams (10-3) the loss of running back lawrence McCutcheon did sting them they said McCutcheon suffered a 16 College basketball Hoosiers finish 7th in Sea Wolf ANCHORAGE Alaska (AP) Ray Tolbert scored 14 points in the first half and Indiana used a balanced outburst after intermission Sunday as the
