DWIGHT. Catharine Hen- nessey, one of Dwight's oldest real. denta, died at her home on West James street at 11 p. m. Tuesday.

Her death was attributed to complications and infirmities of old age. Stre. Hennessey was born May 10, 1853. Wexford county, Ireland, and had lived in Dwight for 40 years. Her husband died 25 years AgO.

Pantagraph Central service, PAXTON. -The funeral for Mrs. Elvira A. Denman, pioneer Paxton resident, who died at 9 p. m.

Tuesday at her home, 351 East Pells street. WAR at 2:30 p. m. Thursday at the Ford funeral home. Rev.

Robert Welch offiassisted by the Rev. Paul Arnold. Burial was in Glen cemetery. Mrs. Denman was 90 years old.

She had been bedfast four years. She was born Oct. 13, 1845 At Thornton, Ind. In 1860 she camel with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Seth Lytle to Wall township. She taught the rural schools in that vicinity for several years. In February, 1869, she was married to D. D. Denman.

She WAS 8 member of the Congregational church. Surviving are one son and daughter, Almer J. Denman of Bloomington, and Miss Eva L. Denman of Paxton, also a brother, Albert Lyle of Springfield, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A.

Arnold his home at p.m. Tuesday following 11 weeks' illness of heart disease. The funeral will be held at the Presbyterian church at 2 p. m. Friday, the Rev.

N. T. Kaiser officiating. Burial will be made in Chenoa cemetery. He was born in Fairfield, May 3, 1887.

He was married Jan. 6, 1893 to Miss Rose' Kopytot of Milwaukee, Wis. The widow and three children survive: Clarence, William and Helen, all of Chenoa: also his parents and five sisters, of Gilman. Mr. Arnold was formerly employed in hospitals at Topeka, Hastings, and Rochester, Minn.

He came to Chenoa in 1917, served as Alton section foreman at Lexington until 1923, and had since resided in this community. He was a member of the Ben Roth post, American Legion, and the Lexington lodge No. 482, A. F. and A.

Wednesday. She had been bedfast six weeks. She was born in Waldo township Dec. 23, 1896. Surviving are father, Rev.

Zehr and sister, Pearl, at home; and other brothers and. sisters, Mrs. George Orns and J. Zehr, of Gridley: Mrs. P.

D. Nafziger, Danvers; Rev. R. J. Zehr, Normal, and C.

R. C. and Earl of Flanagan. The funeral will be held at 1 p. Friday at the home, 511 East Howard street, and at the Pontiac Presbyterian church at 1:30 o'clock.

He was born in Keen, Ohio, July 1860. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Lucy Minnerly of Justin, Tex. He was an active member of the Gilman Rebekah and Odd Fellow lodges. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.

m. Friday at the Presbyterian church, the Rev, Harry Turner officiating, assisted by the Rev. H. C. Buchmueller.

and Mrs. Dantel Tibbs of New Holland, died at 6:30 a. m. Wednesday at St. Clara's hospital.

He was born Aug. 30, 1930. Surviving are the parents and following brothers and sisters: Mra. May Biggs, Mason City; Homer, Catherine, Henry, Paul, Wilbur, Dean. Daniel James and Roland, all of New Holland.

The funeral was held at 2 p. m. Thursday from the Goff funeral home in charge of the Rev. G. S.

Struebing. Burial was in Elkhart cemetery. Dallas Stevenson. Pantagraph Central Illinois Service. J.

W. Dysert received word Wednesday that Dallas Stevenson, 59, of Mooreshill, died Tuesday. The body will be brought to Saybrook Friday. A burial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Saybrook cemetery.

Mr. Stevenson, nephew to J. W. Dysert, deceased, moved from Colfax about 23 years ago. He farmed the Springer land, south of Colfax.

He made his home with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Dysert until he married.

Surviving is the widow, Florence McCarty Stevenson, and their children, Mrs. Hazel Harned of Dayton, Ohio, Delmar, at home, and Russell Stevenson. Mrs. Addie Camper of Cullom, his daughter by a former marriage, also survives. Mrs.

Doland, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church of Delavan, and burial was in Meadow Lawn cemetery at Manito. Mattie Josephine Baxter was born Nov. 6, 1871 at Shenandoah, Duchess New York. When years old she moved with her parents to Arkansas and one year later to Delavan where she had since resided. She was married to Ernest H.

Crosby of Manito Sept. 2, 1891. Mr. Crosby died in 1903 and 1 May 24, 1905 she married George Alexander who died June 8, 1935. Mrs.

Alexander is survived by one daughter, Mrs. H. V. Burrus, San Jose; two sons, J. Robert and William, and one stepson, Lawrence, all of Delavan.

Festival Queen Miss Joanna Thomas of Havana was crowned queen of the Chicago harvest festival in the International Amphitheater in Chicago Wednes. day night.
