plans were discussed lor a Valentine box We decided to get penny valentines and give to everyone Dorothy Kelso and Howard Kalina were appointed to make our valentine box The -teacher and pupils of the school were all surprised this week when we received a letter from Doris Smith Pine Bluffs Vyo Doris is a sixth grader and had come to that part of her English text that called for with other Her teacher Miss Margaret Book's er handed her Miss name and she wrote to us in hope of finding a sixth grader We are fortunate in having two sixth grade girls Dorothy Kelso and Ardis Nelsen These girls greatly appreciated this opportunity for such a correspondence We plan to write to her in the near future If one should step into our classroom this week perhaps they would wonder why we had all the empty cereal boxes vegetable cans cocoa cans etc We will tell you before you ask Mary Margaret Rule and Howard Kalina were the two smiling accurate clerks who stood behind the counter We had two main objects in view for constructing such a project First to be able to count money and make the correct change and second to be polite Our have their tiny purses filled with play money ready for the Grand Opening Most of our recreation periods last week were played outside Seventh and eighth grade grammar classes are studying verb tense Last week being the birthday of our Bees" made sentences about this topic and sang "Happy to him They have seen him in the movies many times so they were quite attracted to this occasion The sixth grade geography class is making a product map of South America The third and fourth grade hygiene class this week are to make Safety First posters since our topic is First on Country Roads" Our newspaper was distributed to our parents last week Ardis Nelsen is our editor for the February issue In our music periods a Fullerton song is pasted on the board and each boy and gi is asked to tap time as the music Is played We enjoy even though We found
