There is quality in Canada's top 40 chart WINNIPEG (CP) One of Canada's foremost rock music specialists, Jim Millican, is hosting a new weekly CBC radio program featuring what is billed as the first Canadian top 40 chart. The program, called 90 Minutes With a Bullet is a hybrid of its predecessor, Major Progression, and the fop 40 hits familiar to AM listeners. In addition to selections from Canada's top 40, the commercial-free program features in-depth interviews and documentaries. It has been on the air over 90 stations across the country Wednesday nights since Nov. 3.

Asked why he decided on a top 40 format rather than a straight documentary and album approach Mr. Millican said, "There is definitely an album consciousness today that is an outgrowth of the 60's music scene. But there's also a kind of snobbery which has developed from this alhum consciousness.
