set The Royals announced Thursday they have awarded their rights for both over-the-air and cable television to Prime Sports The agreement is for three yeatfc beginning in 1997 with an option for three more years Financial terms were not disclosed Prime will televise a record 80 Royals games in each of the three years including 50 over the air and 30 on cable An announcement regarding the local carrier for over-the-air telecasts is expected to be made within two weeks Prime Sports will become Fox Sports Rocky Mountain on Nov 1 and join the family of regional sports networks known as Fox Sports Net The network is carried by two cable systems in the Kansas City area TCI of Overland Park and Western Tech Fans can choose among 20- 40-and 81 -game seaso'n tickets The Royals also announced that the annual Kansas City Baseball Dinner will be resumed Friday Feb 7 at the Westin Crown Center hotel after a two-year absence Individual game tickets will go on sale the same day Glass to be in uniform David Glass says he'll probably be in a Royals uniform tonight No he's not the right-handed power hitter the club needs He just lost a bet Glass CEO of Wal-Mart Stores Inc as well as the Royals said that winners of an in-house sales contest will be at Kauffman Stadium as a reward for their efforts "We had a little wager on their performance in July" Glass said "We're going to have have not been able to express myself through basketball or any other way I'm saying stuff through my music you can feel it" -Tisdale a son of a Tulsa Okla pastor learned to play the guitar left-handed as a youngster in the church choir and actually enjoyed music better than basketball as a pre-teen Once he began growing basketball became his passion but he never forget his infatuation with music t's relaxing" said Tisdale who is 6 feet 9 and 260 pounds and who has averaged 104 points and 19 minutes per game in his two seasons at Phoenix "It's no different than another athlete going out and playing golf still love the game of basketball and I love the art ofTnusic and I'm enjoying both" In fact Tisdale who begins his 11th NBA training camp next week plans a career in music after his basketball days end "I'm not ashamed to say that this is what I want to do after basketball" he said "A lot of players don't know what they want to do after basketball and that usually causes a lot of problems for them" Tisdale began sharing his talents with fellow NBA I)Iayers by performing at NBA All-Star weekends the ast few years and began jamming with others such as David Robinson Grant Hill
