Rayburn. Hanford Mankin a former Green Ridge boy, now located at Versailles, visited friends here last Mr. and Mrs. G. D.

Rayburn motored to Sedalia on business Monday. They accompanied by Mesdames George Shelley and Charles Paige. Earl Hinken returned Monday from a visit to friends at Columbia, Mo. District Conference of the M. E.

Church South was held at Green Ridge, Saturday and Sunday. Presiding Elder Rev. II. Rand, of Sedalia presided. Roswell Reach and two children spent Sunday with his brother, L.

B. Beach and family. Louis Woodleigh and family of Brandon, spent Sunday Charles Proctor and family. The members of the Aid Society of the Congregational church held an all day meeting last Wednesday at the home Mrs. Margaret Kyd.

Quilting was the w'ork of the day, with a lovely dinner at the noon hour. The February meeting of the P. T. A-, will be held Friday evening at the high school building and will be a Patriotic program. The program follows: Community sing.

Rayburn. The annual i-arty given by the "Keep Bible class was held Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. A. N. Baker.

The decorations in the home were in keeping with birthday and the entertainment of the afternoon followed the same idea. Th party, always a pleasant social affair, greatly enjoyed by the members of the class who realized almost 20.00 from the sale of the hens donated. Appetizing refreshments were served. Guests other than the class members Misses Florence Roop, Florence Allen, Mrs. Norris Bush and Mrs.

A series of interclass debates is being held in the high school to decide which class team is champion. The contest is not only to decide class championship but also to prepare for the county debate tournament to be held here March 12. The question for debate is: "Resolved.

The address by Rev. O. E. Leslie at 11 was one of the best ever given here.
