Sholtz, former Denver druggist and civic leader, who died Monday at the Christie Hotel where he and his wife had made their home for the past 15. years. Cremation followed at Forest Lawn. Mr. Sholtz was born in Toronto, Canada, and moved to Denver in 1873, where he founded one of the largest drug chains in Colorado.

He retired in 1920 and came to California. Besides his widow, Mrs. Blanche Sholtz, he is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Barton Sewell of Beverly Hills; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Van Orman of Los Angeles and Mrs.

Ada B. Stuhr of Portland, and four grand- children. EATON T. SAMS Last rites were observed today at St. Paul's Cathedral, direction of W.
