The Cincinnati Times-Star says: "Detectives Allen and Reed arrested Charles Randolpb, colored, on a charge of murder, Tuesday, after having tracked him by means of the mails through several States and Canada. May 10tb Charles Smith was attacked and stabbed to death at Carlisle avenue and John street by two colored men, one of whom was supposed to be Randolph. He was arrested Tueeday at 830 Dayton street, where be was employed." Joseph Dudley, arrested in this city Wednesday, charged as one of the party, and Randolph are both Mayaville boys. SHOOK THE EARTH 'Squire Farrow, Using Dynamite, Startled the People Yesterday afternoon between 3 and o'clock the Fourth Ward hillsiders were brought to their doors with a jump, caused by a loud detonation and rumbling noise as though the earth had given away in parts nearby.

And so it had. 'Squire Farrow, in his excavations in East Fourth street, had touched off a stick of dynamite to loosen up the earth and rocks, and it did its work to the Queen's taste. Several large windows in a rear room in the residence of Mr. Henry J. Shea were broken.
