Police LogPolice released two juveniles to the custody of their parents today pending further action against the youths. who have confessed at toast six thefts, mostly hub caps and auto accessories: A third youth, who also was charged with participating in the thefts, is in county jail pending the filing of a petition to recommit him to custody of the California Youth Authority. The boy, police said, has a recford of past offenses. Other po. lice log entries contained reports of prowlers, minor traffic colVisions other thefts and investigations.

San Diego county: Generally Truck Traffic- A police department survey of truck traffic on Beverly Blvd. was submitted to Whittier city councilmen at their meeting but the group voted to refer the traffic problem back to the city engineer and the police chief for their action on ironing out difTerences between county and city regulations. The survey indicated that an average of about 100 trucks of the 6000-pound-andover class travel the boulevard each day. Controller's OfficeWhittier city councilmen have approved appropriation of $8911 to staff and equip the new city controller's office until July 1. Of the total. $3396 is for new equipment.
