16, 1907, at Swea City, daughter of Nellie and Frank Wm. Blonv ster. She was educated at Swea City. Vern and Gladys Luhn were married 2, 1926, at Mankato, and they made their home here. She is survived by her husband; 3 brothers, Uliver and Virgil, Swea City; Robert, Buffalo Center; a sister Mrs Gene (Irene) Fagerlund, Swea City.

Mr and Mrs Quinten Bjustrom and Mr and Mrs Jim Lindhorst and daughter Rhanda were Sunday dinner guests in the Edmund Larsen home. Mr and Mrs Wendell Christensen are the parents of a boy, born Saturday morning, Jan, 13, weighing 9 ib. 6 oz. He has not been named at this time. Lawrence Govern is in bed this week with a bad case of the flu.

Mr and Mrs Howard Sparks visited Sunday evening in the Bill Tjaden home. Mr and Mrs Rex Wolf of Fenton visited their daughter and family, the Jack Tiemans, and were Sunday evening supper guests in the Tieman home. Mrs Frank Becker and Mrs Victor Filch went to Algona Monday afternoon to get the lesson, "Skills with the Skillet," to be demonstrated at the Port' land Progress club next Thursday afternoon, in the home of Mrs Lawrence Govern. Circles of the Methodist church met in joint session on Wednesday with Mrs Agnes Tabor. Co-hostesses were Mrs Lyle Rick and Mrs Mel Roupe. Mrs Dale Lenz gave the lesson and Mrs Herman Fritz the devotions.

Services for lifelong area resident held Funeral services for Mrs John Zeller, 70, life-long area resident, were held Monday morning in St.

Gearen officiated at the requiem mass, and burial was in the cemetery at St. Joe. The Hamilton funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs Zeller died Thursday at St. Ann hospital in Algona where she had been a patient for one day.

She was born Margaret Origer at St. Joe to Nicholas and Mary Arend Origer. She married John Zeller, June 17, 1923, and the couple farmed at St. Joe until 1957 when they retired and moved to Algona. Mrs Zeller's survivors in- 'husband; two sons, Alfred Zeller of Bode and Bernard Zeller of Ottosen; a sister, Mrs Kate Hess of Dubuque and a brother, John Origer of Bode.
