Pantaleon Coladonato, 68, of 449 Race Street, Sunbury, widely known retired barber and former resident of Atlas, died yesterday afternoon at 2:45 Sunbury Community Hospital. He had been in failing health for five years. Born in Hazleton on August 28, 1899, Mr. Coladonato operated barber shops in Hummelstown, Philadelphia, Danville, Blooms- burg, Berwick, -Glen Iron and Sunbury before his retirement after 48 years of service. A resident of Sunbury for the past 10 years, Mr.

Coladonato lived most of his life in Atlas. His wife, the former Elizabeth Ko- vach. died July 7, 1945. The couple had 16 children, 15 of whom are living. Mr.

Coladonato was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Sunbury. Surviving are eight sons, Fred and Pantaleon, Bloomsburg: Michael, Millville; Richard, of; Chester; Bernard, Joseph and Ed ward, Catawissa, and Carmen, New Jersey; seven daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Florence Sedor, Bloomsburg; Mrs. Samuel (Rita) Romeo, Berwick; Mrs.

Clarence i Elizabeth) Llewellyn and Mrs. Kenneth (Veronica' Brassington, Catawissa: Mrs. Lamar (Cath erine) Mindler, New Jersey; Mrs. Walter (Jeanne) Boguslaw, Hatfield, and Mrs. Dale (Rosemarie) Steimling, Selinsgrove; 38 grand children, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary DeMarco, Atlas; a brother, Michael, Montana; a sister-in-law, Mrs.

Nellie Colado nato, Atlas, and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Marie, preceded him in death. Ray R. Gilqer Elysburg Ray R. Gilger, 80, East Mill Street, Elysburg, died in his home at 7:40 this morning.

Death terminated an illness during which he was hospitalized at various times since November. Born in Elysburg, April 19, in LlysDurg, April 1888, Mr. Gilger was the son of the late Elwood and Nora (John-:" son) Gilger. He was educated in Elysburg public schools. Mr.

The elder Lindner, who with his wife works at a nearby Army depot, said he supported his son's stand, but repeated he did not approve of the way "he had done it." Lindner also said he has not been contacted by Washington nrfir-iak 1 I ht WAY I Vgg- 1, BARGAINS I I Mrs. Joseph Patrick, 69, died at her home, 125 South Walnut Street, Mount Carmel, yesterday after a long illness. Born in Mount Carmel July 9, 1898, Mrs. Patrick was the former Jean Rupp, daughter of Albert and May (Rothermel) Rupp. She was a member of the Primitive Methodist Church.

Survivors include the husband, Joseph Patrick, well known Mount Carmel barber, now a patient in Ashland State General Hospital; one son, Albert Patrick, manager of the Citizens Gas Company; one daughter, Mrs. Mae C. Carey, Mount Car mel; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Mattie) Thomas, Nescopeck; Mrs. Marcus (Dorothy) Myers, Bloomsburg, and Mrs.

Mae Williams. Reading. A son, Clem, died November 2, 1959. Mrs. Gertie Walburn Shamokin Mrs Gertie May Walburn, 70, of 1213 West Independence Street, Shamokin, died at 6:00 last eve ning in her residence.

Death ter minated an illness of one week. Born in Shamokin, February 26, 1897, Mrs. Walburn was a daughter of the late Jacob and Annie (Kulp) Stein. She was educated in Coal Township public schools. The late West Independence Street resident was married June 6, 1914, in Shamokin to Albert Walburn.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. Mrs. Walburn was a lifelong resident of Shamokin. Survivors include the husband, two daughters, Miss Media Wal burn, at home, and Mrs. Guy (Ce- die) Ditty, Shamokin; two grand children: a brother, Clarence Stein, Shamokin, and a sister, Mrs.

Media Taylor, Pottsville. Joseph F. Galda Mount Carmel Joseph F. Galda, 84, South Locust Street, of 335 Mount Carmel, died Tuesday in Shamokin State General Hospital. He was in ill health several years rn 1883.

Mr. Poland on March 19, Galda was employed! as a mmer at regional comenes, Prior to nis retirement 20 years Mr. Galda was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Mount Carmel, the Polish Roman Catholic Union and the Polish National Alliance. Survivors include the widow, the former Agnes Walania, two sons, Frank Galda, Grosse Pointe Farms, and Leo Galda, Trenton, one daughter, Mrs.

Rober (Anna) Richardson, Peabody, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Chikialo, Mount Carmel, and Mrs. Stanley (Francis) Topolski, Spring Field, three stepsons, Michael and Joseph Ges-lock, Trenton.N.J., and Albert Geslock, Mount Carmel, 22 grandchildren, and 30 greatgrandchildren. Mi Martha D. Davis, daughter was a member of the Daniel R. Erdman Sunbury Daniel R.

Erdman, 82, of 123 North Eleventh Street, Sunbury, a native of Shamokin, died unexpectedly last evening in his home. Mr. Erdman. who was a wide ly known fraternalist, civic and social leader and enurenman, was born in Shamokin September 23, 1885, a son of the late George and Emma (Adams) Erdman. Mr.

Erdman moved to Sunbury in 1912 when he joined his father-in-law in a construction business, which he acquired as owner-manager in 1920 following the death of his father-in-law. Mr. Erdman and Miss Emma Malick were married in 1908. She died eight years later and Mr. Erdman was married to the former Mary E.

Moyer, Freeburg, in 1923. His death severed a marital union of 45 years. The widely known county seat man was active in the Sunbury Kiwanis Club, Masonic circles and was a director and vice president of the Home Mutual Insurance Company of America, Emmaus. Mr. Erdman was also a director of the Sunbury Y.M.C.A., the First National Bank of Sunbury since 1921 and member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury.

He recently retired and sold his lumber construction business. Surviving are the widow, one son, Daniel R. Erdman, Harrisburg; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Christian and Mrs. John F.

Gillespie, Shamokin, and Mrs. Myrtle Koehler, Quaker-town; one grand laughter, Miss Dona Harner, a student nurse at Geisinger Medical Center, Dan ville, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martha Abbot Shamokin Mrs. Martha D.

Abbott, 71, of 625 West Pine Street. Shamokin. lk: "-r'l fSLw death. A native of Mount Carmel, fi (Morse) Davis. She was born October 29, 1896.

Mrs. Abbott resided In Mount; Carmel during her early life, then moved to Utica, N.Y. She came to Shamokin in 1954. While a resident of Utica, she was employed in a textile plant. The late Shamokin woman was first married to George Wil liams, who died in 1920.

Her second marriage was to George J. Abbott. Mrs. Abbott was a member of the Salvation Army 'Corps of Shamokin. u- OUIV1VU13 U1U1UUC a UdUgULCL, Mrs.

Leo (Charlotte) Vesnefskie, Paxinos, and a son, George R. Abbot, at home. Seven grand children and one great grand child survive, also. Charles Baker Catawissa Chales (Alfie) Baker, 83, Catawissa, died in his home last evening. Born February 24, 15S4, in Cata wissa, Mr.

Baker was a son of the late Charles and Christie (Clemens) Baker. His wife, the former Roseanna Mensch, died two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Baker operated a confectionary store in Catawissa 50 years, retiring several years ago.

Mr. Baker served as chief burgess of Catawissa four years, councilman four years and president of the council, justice of the peace 37 years, member of Catawissa Eagles, social member of the V.F.W. and a member of St Matthew Lutheran Church, Catawissa. Surviving are four sisters-in-law. two nieces and one nephew.

Local Tax Offices to Be Closed Tomorrow Tax collecting offices in Shamokin and Coal Township will be closed tomorrow in observance of George Washington's Birthday. nm for presentation of a children's show during the month of April were announced today by officials of Shamokin Area Junior Chamber of Com merce. John Moody, president, said the show, known as a "Jaycee Showcase," will be produced by Lester Productions of Rocka-way, N.J. The program is a variety show for the entire family and is presented by local Jaycee organizations throughout the state. Proceeds from the show will be used by the Jaycees for civic improvement projects.

Moody reported that funds derived from the show will be earmarked for the Jaycees' current project of purchasing a cardiac monitor for Shamokin State General Hospital. An advance ticket sale project is being planned.
