FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTSBEAVERTOWN Anna Kathryn Reich Motter, 83, of 112 Wetzel went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:44 a.m. Mon- day, April 1, 2013, at the Geisinger i a Danville. She was born June 2 7, 19 2 9, at Middle Road, Bea- vertown, Adams Township, a daughter of the late Homer and Mary (Benfer) Keister. On Jan.

11, 1947, she mar- ried the Rev. Harold Leon Reich. She was educated at the Fiss and Troxelville schools. Through her life she was employed by Mifflinburg and Beavertown Silk and the Selinsgrove State School. For 18 years, she and her first husband, Harold, pas- tored at the Christ Commu- nity Church in Glen Iron.

She was always right by her side, working at the church or doing visita- tion. They also had a weekly Christian radio program, that could be heard every Sun- day afternoon on one of the local radio stations. She loved Jesus and shared that love with her family and all those that she came in con- tact with. On Jan. 26, 1988, her heart was broken when her beloved husband Harold passed away.

On Nov. 11, 1989, she mar- ried Oscar Motter who she shared 15 wonderful years with until his death on Dec. 18, 2004. Anna and her sec- ond husband Oscar were of the Beavertown Missionary Church. She currently attended Way- side Bible Church where her son, the Rev.

Timothy Reich, is the pastor. She enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family. She received much spiritual encouragement from WFBM-Christian radio station that she would listen to daily. Harold and Anna were the parents of five children, Gerald Reich and wife, Linda, and David Reich, of Creek Road, Beaver- town, Rev. Darvin Reich and wife, Debbie, of West Ridge Road, Middleburg, the Rev.

Timothy Reich and wife, Sherry, of Route 104, Middleburg, and Shirley Re- ich Sperka and husband, Joe, of Beavertown; 16 grandchil- dren, Cindy Wagner, Kelly Shiffer, Kahla Peters, Robin Hartzler, Mike, Shane, Mark and Kimberly Reich, Justin and Jonathan Sperka, Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jason Mull, Marine Cpl. Daniel Mull, Army PV2 Jonathan Mull, Krista Culp, Tyler Haines, and Shannon Miller; 18 great-grandchildren, Phillip, Colby and Meghan Wagner, BlakeLee, Brady, Adelyn and Isabella Shiffer, Rainah Haas, Taylor, Tasha, Madyson, Kolten and Andy Reich, Anyssa and Kaden Peters, Collin and Carter Hartzler, Coy and Jaycee Miller and Callie Haines; one great-great-granddaugh- ter, Kennedy Wagner; one sister, Dorothy Imes, of Port Royal; and numerous nieces, nephews and brother and sis- in-laws. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Snook and Geraldine Viola Keister who died in infancy; one daughter-in-law, Sonya Reich; and brother-in-law, Carl Reich whom she and her husband, Harold helped raise. Visitors will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Beavertown Mis- sionary Church, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m.

Friday with the Rev. James Plank, the Rev. Jeff Stratton and the Rev. Rich- ard VonNeida officiating. Burial will be in St.

Independent Bible Church Cemetery, Beavertown. Contributions may be made to WFBM-LP FM ra- dio station, Beaver Springs, or the Beavertown Missionary Church build- ing fund. Reich Motter, 83, Beavertown Anna Motter NEW BERLIN Ruth Eleanor Spangler, 84, of 339 Murray Lane, entered into rest at 11:30 p.m.

Satur- day, March 3 0 2 013 at iver- Lewisburg, where she had been a resident for the past year. She wa born Aug. 21, 1928, in New Berlin, a daughter of the late Roy and Dorathea (Nagle) Wittes. On August 11, 1951, in Messiah Lu- theran Church, New Ber- lin, she married Donald B. Spangler, who survives.

Ruth was a 1945 graduate of Lewisburg High School. In her early years, she was employed at the Dutch Pantry, Hummels Wharf, and after raising her chil- dren she was a seamstress at TaraLee Sportswear in New Berlin. She and her husband, Donald, owned and operated Harmony Springs Farm and were ac- tively engaged in dairy and crop farming. Ruth was active in the Union County DHIA and Union County Crop Asso- ciation for many years. She was a life-long mem- ber of the Messiah Lu- theran Church, New Berlin where she served as a Sun- day school teacher and on the Altar Guild.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church group and the Red Hatters. Ruth was a charter member of the New Berlin Heritage Association and was chairman of the an- nual chicken barbecue for New Berlin Heritage Days for many years. She had a great interest in the history of the New Berlin area and authored many articles for local historical groups. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Den- nis and Mary Jo Spangler, of New Berlin; three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Patrick Imbrogno, of Moon Township, Dianne and Lyn- don Hepler, of Pitman, and Darinda and Brett Sutton, of Eighty Four; daughter-in- law, Donna Spangler-Boop, of Sunbury; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Julie (Ad- ams) and William Breon, of Selinsgrove, and Doris and Frank Brouse, of Se- linsgrove; 10 grandchildren, Justin and (Jenna) Spangler, Kevin and (Lindsay) Span- gler, Joseph and (Jessica) Spangler, Anna Spangler, Kyle Imbrogno, Kara Im- brogno, Kayla Imbrogno, Deidre Hepler, Matthew Hepler, and Kendra Hepler; and one great-grandson, Brady Spangler. She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Spangler, in 1993; and three brothers, John Wittes, James Wittes and Robert Wittes.

Box 246, New Berlin, PA 17855. Ruth E. Spangler, 84, New Berlin Ruth Spangler SUNBURY Lois E. Barnhart, 89, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Manor Care, Sun- bury. She was born Dec.

12 19 2 3, in Sunbury, a au ter of the late Harry and Bertha i Jan. 7, 1942, she married Woodrow W. Barnhart preceded her in death on June 13, 1987. Lois was a 1941 graduate of Sunbury High School. She was formerly employed by Champ Hats, Tops-All, J.C.

Penney Dress Shop, Wilhold and First Phillips Industries. She was a life -long mem- ber of St. Lutheran Church, Sunbury where she was a lay reader, taught Sunday school, a member and former president of the Lutheran group, coordinator of the Meals on Wheels and secretary at the church. She was a member of the Sunbury Democratic Club and was for- merly employed at the Sixth Ward polls in Sunbury. One of her proudest accomplish- ments, along with her eight children, was the founding of the Leaders with troops at St.

and Grace Lutheran churches. Lois was an avid reader and passed on this love to all her daughters and grand- daughters. As each child reached the age of six, she took them to the library to obtain their own library card. She was also very proud of accompanying the Blossburg High School French Club to France and visiting the Eiffel Tower and Monaco. She also enjoyed a trip to St.

Louis to see the Lois will be sorely missed by fam- ily, friends and the many young people whose lives she touched through Sun- day school and the Sunbury Club. She is survived by seven daughters and their hus- bands, Gloria J. Walker, Pa- tricia and Paul Hollenbach, Kerri and Marvin Long, and Judie and David Thomp- son, all of Sunbury, Jayne L. Zoch, of Selinsgrove, Caryl and Roy Snyder, of Bloss- burg, and MaryAnn and Bob Fahringer, of Northumber- land; one daughter-in-law, Deb Smith, of Sunbury; 11 grandchildren, Nicole Wit- mer, Jon Walker, Phillip Hol- lenbach, Patric Hollenbach, Brandon Barnhart, Amanda Eberhart, Caleb Snyder, Cory Snyder, Jeremy Long, Dustin Long and Kayl Long; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchil- dren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Rick; one son-in-law, Charles Zoch; one sister, June Wise; and one brother, Robert Hess.

A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Fu- neral Home, 395 State Sunbury, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. Lutheran Church, Sunbury. Lois E. Barnhart, 89, Sunbury Lois Barnhart I ROV Charles Henry Blue, of Se- linsgrove, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the age of 79. By all accounts, Charles earned his rest hav- ing labored tirelessly at all his hob- i a vocations. a truly gifted in understanding all things mechanical and was able to repair virtually any contrap- tion.

He delighted in working with his hands and was fortu- nate enough to earn a living doing what he loved. Following his graduation from Shikellamy High School in 1953, Charles joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Leary 879 until his discharge to inactive reserves in 1957. He often spoke of his travels around the world and life aboard ship. He later would become very active in his re- unions, never missing a gath- ering if he could help it. He spent the majority of his career working at in Shamokin Dam until his retirement in 1996.

He later worked for a time at Yellow- stone National Park, dodg- ing bison on his way to work repairing various odds and ends across the length and breadth of the park. Charles took great pride in his service as a Freema- son and was Past Master of former Masonic Lodge 713 in Sunbury. He delighted in reading, particularly tales of adven- ture on the high seas; singing songs of Spike Jones, Phil Harris, and Frank Sinatra; sharing jokes and amusing anecdotes; dancing with his wife and teaching others to dance; and escaping to his workshop to craft some new piece of furniture or repair a malfunctioning ap- pliance. He developed close friendships with people who shared his passion for travel, ensuring that his later years were filled with excitement and new adventures. He will be missed.

He is survived by his chil- dren, Bonnie Steck, Vickie and Brad Koch, Audrey Blue and Chad Trego, Charles Edward and Christina Blue; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. His wife of more than 50 years, Gloria Angeli Blue, died in 2012. A gathering of remem- brance will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Sunbury Ma- sonic Lodge. Cris- singer, 90, of Gratz, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Community Gen- eral Hospital, Harrisburg. She was born June 15, 1922, in Leck Kill, a daugh- ter of the late Charles M. and Margaret Salome (Bohner) Masser. She was married to Paul L. Crissinger who pre- ceded her in death on Dec.

1, 2006. Pearl was a 1940 graduate of Pine Park High School, Leck Kill. She was the oldest charter member of the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church of Gratz and had taught Sunday school for many years. Pearl was a loving wife and will be remembered for her joy of reading, her love of family, and her ministry to the needy. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Leon R.

and Sharon Cris- singer, of Gratz, Carol and Lester Hoch, of Berrysburg, Dr. Harold P. and Laurie Crissinger, of Menominee, Kenneth W. and Karen Crissinger, of Gratz, and Melvin C. and Deborah Crissinger, of Dauphin; nine grandchildren, Bryan Cris- singer, Tanya Leppo, Ashley Crissinger, Nathan, Joshua, and Aaron Crissinger, Ra- chel Calderon, Abigail Jones, and Elizabeth Crissinger; three great-grandchildren, Trent Crissinger, Phoebe Pearl Crissinger and Chloe Calderon; one sister, Verna Brown, of Klingerstown; and nieces and nephews.
