Allan R. Browne Allan R. Browne Allan R. Browne, 94, a lawyer, died Dec. 1994, in the Forum Healthcare Center, Overland Park, where he lived.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel of the Village Presbyterian Church; cremation. The family suggests contributions to the Allan R. Browne Scholarship Fund of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Mr. Browne was with the firm of Ennis, Browne and Jensen before he retired in 1989.

Earlier he was a partner in Ennis, Browne and Martin; he practiced law in Kansas City for 52 years. He was a member of the American Bar Association and the Missouri Bar. He was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court of Appeals. He was president of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys in 1973, the UMKC School of Law Alumni Association in 1967 and the Kansas City Bar Association in 1962-63.

He received a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 1922; was a 1925 graduate of the University of Kansas City law school; and was a graduate of the A Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth. He was a member of Delta Phi and Alpha Sigma Phi. He served in the Army for 14 years and was a judge advocate in Japan; he retired as a colonel in 1956. His first wife, Blanche Longan Browne, died in 1956. His second wife, Phoebe Mosman Harrington Browne, died in 1984.

He was born in El Paso, Texas, and lived in this area most of his life; he also lived in Hawaii. Survivors include two daughters, Virginia B. Mount, Boulder, and Carol B. Harrington, Prairie Village; three grandsons; and DITS Carl J. LaSala Carl J.

LaSala, 59, Lee's Summit, former owner of a tire store, died Dec. 6, 1994, at the Do home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Independence; burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Passantino Chapel, where the rosary will be said by the parish at 4 p.m. and by the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m. Mr. LaSala owned Carl's Tire Center on Truman Road from 1966 until he retired in 1986.

Caruso was born in Waukegan, and lived in Odessa, Texas, before moving to Bates City in 1975. JOHN COLE John Cole, 87, of the Medicalodge-East, Kansas City, died Dec. 1, 1994, at Bethany Medical Center.

Cole was born in Shannon, and had lived in Kansas City, since 1945. He worked for the St. LouisSan Francisco Railroad for 30 years, retiring in 1964. His wife, Callie Mae Cole, died in 1973. Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn DePriest, Kansas City, and Lue Dora Ruff, Detroit, and nieces and nephews.

NELSON E. COX Nelson E. Cox, 68, Platte City, died Dec. 6, 1994, at the home. Services are pending; cremation with burial in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Mr. Cox was born in rural Platte County and was a lifelong area resident. He was a cashier for the Diamond Parking Co. for three years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St.

Mark's Lutheran Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include a brother, Martin J. "Mike" Cox, Platte City, and a sister, Elma Shepherd, Catherine Ingrassia Drexier, 80, northeast Kansas City, died Dec. 6, 1994, at Research Medical Center.

Mrs. Drexler was born in Danville, and had lived in Kansas City since 1920. She was a cook for the Italian Gardens restaurant from 1970 to 1976. Her husband, John F. Drexler, died in 1989.

He was a chartered life underwriter and a fellow of the Life Management Institute. He was chairman of the board of directors of Truman Medical Center, served on the center's executive committee and was chairman of its risk management committee. He was a board member of the Hospital Hill Health Services Corp. and the Swope Ridge Geriatric Center. He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Kansas in 1968 and was president of Phi Kappa Theta at KU.

He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of MissouriKansas City in 1972. He was a member of the UMKC Alumni Board and the Bloch School of Business and Public Administration alumni association placement committee. He served on the financial management committee at Rockhurst High School and was vice president of the Notre Dame de Sion School board. He was a scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 395 for three years. He was a member of the church.

He was a lifelong area resident. Survivors include his wife, Beverly McDaniel, a son, Brian M. McDaniel, and a daughter, Shelley McDaniel, all of the home; his mother, Rosemary McDaniel, Kansas City; a brother, Mark R. McDaniel, Blue Springs; and a sister, Janet L. Lane, Kansas City.

John C. Schneider John C. Schneider, 56, Lakewood, a former teacher in this area, died Oct. 31, 1994, at a hospital in Denver. Services were Nov.

5. The family suggests contributions to the John C. Schneider Scholarship Fund in care of the First Bank, 1940 S. Kipling Parkway, Lakewood, Colo. 80227.

Mr. Schneider taught English at Coronado Junior High School from 1966 to 1970 and taught English at Washington High School from 1970 to 1973. He was an investigator for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, retiring in February 1994. He received a bachclor's degree in English from Rockhurst College and a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

He was a Marine veteran. He was born in Leavenworth and moved to Colorado 10 years ago. Survivors include his wife, Carole Schneider of the home; five sons, John D. Schneider, El Paso, Texas, Blaise Schneider, Denver, Bart Schneider, Littleton, Nick Schneider, South Korea, and Kelly Schneider, Lakewood; and his mother, Margaret Schneider, and a sister, Peggy Stimach, both of Kansas City, Kan. vices will be at 1:30 p.m.

Duffy was born in Buckeye, and lived in Abilene most of his life. He owned Duffy's Green 3 Acres bowling alley and restaurant in Abilene for 22 years before he retired. He was past president of the Abilene Elks Lodge. He was a member of the church. Survivors include his wife, Lenore Duffy of the home; two sons, Reuben McCornack, Washington, D.C., and Donald Duffy, Seal Beach, two daughters, Adrienne Kimes, Carmichael, and Mary Ann Ewert, Grandview; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

PATRICIA A. FINKE Patricia A. Finke, 64, Kansas City in Platte County, died Dec. 7, 1994, at the home. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Finke was born in St. Louis and lived in Springfield, before she moved to this area in 1983. She was a cafeteria worker for Park College for two years. She was a member of the church.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E. Finke of the home; four sons, Thomas M. Finke of the home and Kenneth E. Finke, David Finke and Matthew Finke of Kansas City; a brother, Michael Grein, St. Louis; three sisters, Shirley Wiegers, St.

He was a member of the Aaron Sheepfold at the church. He was a member of the Ivanhoe Club. Survivors include his wife, Ardella Fowlkes of the home; a son, Mitchell Fowlkes, and a daughter, Linda McCallop, both of Kansas City; a brother, Richard Fowlkes Lake Charles; four sisters, Victoria Giddings, Almeta Moore and Mable Holly of Detroit and Ann B. FRIEDMAN Rita L. Friedman, 81, south Kansas City, died Dec. 6, 1994, at the home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Friedman was born in Detroit and lived in Albuquerque, N.M., before she moved to Kansas City in 1956. She was a member of the Kehilath Israel Synagogue and the Beth Shalom Synagogue sisterhood. She was a member of the Singles Ministry and the Naomi Circle Mission of the church. She was an Air Force veteran. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Eternal Valley Chapel, Newhall. Mrs. Kill was born in Kansas City and had lived in Newhall since 1939. She formerly was a cafeteria worker at Newhall elementary schools.

Her husband, Irvin George Kill, died in 1989. Survivors include a son, Michael Kill, Saugus, daughter, Judy Fountain, Fremont, two brothers, William Lutz Shawnee, and Jim Lutz, San Marcos, seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was a maintenance worker for the Kansas City, Health Department before he retired. He was a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Susie M. "Turk" Mathewson, 62, Topeka, died Dec. 6, 1994, at the home. Services will be at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Lauer Chapel, Seneca, burial in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Seneca. The family suggests contributions to the Midland Hospice of Topeka.

Mr. Mathewson was born near Seneca and lived in Topeka most of his life. He formerly worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for six years. He attended Washburn University, Topeka. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Frank A. Mathewson and Marcella A.
