NO TIMBER 21. 1967 PACE NINE Thanksgiving Day Program Planned At Shamokin High Statement iOn County Home, Hospital Listed urr tNT Pnoi irTTTr The Thanksgiving Day program! in Shamokin Area High School! will be presented tomorrow morning in the school auditorium. The program will consist of cuttings of a three act comedy, entitled "Time Out for Ginger." written by Ronald Alexander and presented by the Speech Arts Class, under the direction of Mss Emily Anderson.

The cast consists of Joy Mike Marchel. Sharon Joanna Chowka and Lois Pvim-erano, as the Carol family: Erin Chlaciek as Lime, the maid, and Vi, Rolarians Hear I Talk Concerning Big Oil Company Richard E. Horr. president of Heir Gas and Oil Companv, presented the story of Sun Oil Company's operations in Canadian oil sand and productions of oil from tar sands during a meeting of Shamokin Rotary Club last evening in Hotel James Madison. Through use of slide pictures, operations of Great Canadian Oil Sands, Limited, in the wilderness of northeast Alberta, which had its beginning back in 1904 and which was completed last summer, were shown to service club members.

More than S2M million dollara and three years were required to complete the plant which has a daily output of 4.VO00 barrels of oil per day. Inside of three years, the giani IH'OS complex was completed beside the Athabasca River. Considering its location in the isolated Alberta north country, where the weather and transportation of materials presented varied problems, the plant is said to be a remarkable structure in design.
