Lawrence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry K. Lawrence, Hanover RD 4, and Walter F. Kale, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Walter C. Kale, 17 East Granger street, were married Saturday at 9 a.m. at a nuptial inass in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, McSherrystown. The double ring ceremony was performed by the pastor, Rt.

Rev Msgr. Patrick F. McGee. The children's choir of the parish sang during mass, accompanied by Mrs. Bernard Henry, organist.

The bride, given ir marriage by her father, wore a gown of imported Chantilly lace over bridal satin fashioned with a fitted bodice, having a scalloped, scoop neckline trimmed with iridescent sequins and seed pearls. The long fitted sleeves ended in points over her hands and her full bouffant lace skirt, worn over hoops, was trimmed with iridescent sequins and seed pearls at the waist in front and back and ended in a chapel-length train. She wore a crown of orange blossoms and seed pearls, having a fingertip-length veil, and a frontline bouquet of chrysanthemums centered with an orchid and having a shower of ribbons. The bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert H.

Lawrence, 4 Jackson street, matron of honor, wore a blue street-length dress featuring a wide collar, short sleeves and full skirt. She completed her outfit with a flat, low headpiece, having a nose-length veil, blue shoes and a frontline bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums. The bride's brother, Robert H. Lawrence, was best man while ushers were the bridegroom's brothers, Joseph and Michael Kale. About 150 guests attended a reception in the Conewago Fire company hall, Edge Grove.

Upon their return from a trip to an unannounced destination the couple will reside at 15 Linden avenue. The bride, a 1947 graduate of Delone Catholic High school, is employed at Middleburg Manufacturing company. Her husband, who served two years in the Navy during World War II, is employed at Coulson Heel and Innersole company. Michael J. Carbaugh Michael Joseph Carbaugh, twoday-old son of Mr.

and Mrs. Thomas Carbaugh, Hanover RD 4, died Friday at 6:45 p.m. in Hanover General hospital. Surviving in addition to his parents are: A brother, Thomas Joseph Carbaugh, at home; the paternal grandparents. Mr.

and Mrs. J. Francis Carbaugh, 345 Third street; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard E.

Smith, Hanover RD the paternal greatgrandmother. Mrs. Bernard Carbaugh, 363 Third street, and the maternal greatgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.

X. Smith, Hanover RD 4. Funeral services will be held this morning at 8:30 o'clock with prayers at the Walter Funeral home, McSherrystown, followed by graveside rites in Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery, Edge Grove, at: 9 o'clock. Rev. John P.

Bolen will officiate. Mrs. Russell A. Walker Mrs. Rose May Walker, 76, rear 120 Baltimore street, died at 2 p.m.

Saturday at Hanover General hospital. A daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Little Walker, she was a member of Otterbein UB church and a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Hanover Post 2506, VFW. Surviving are: Her husband, Russell A. Walker, two sons, Norman R. Walker, Taneytown, and Raymond H.

Walker, at home; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Jackson and Womer Funeral home. Interment will be in Presbyterian cemetery, Hunterstown. Clinton H.

Baughman Clinton H. Baughman, 76, died yesterday at 1:30 a.m. at the residence of his son, Earl C. Baughman, Manchester, where he made his home. He had been in ill health a week.

Taveler Slated As Hanover Club Speaker On Wed. Hanover--Philip Geary, a native of Pennsylvania, will speak on "Fun Among the Primitives" at the initial meeting of the season of Hanover Dutch Treat club Wednesday evening. Dr. John McL. Birch, president, announced the club's meeting site has been changed to the Hanover diner, Carlisle street extended.

Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the speaker is scheduled at 7:40 o'clock. Geary has spent five years with aborigines of Bengal, India, and later, in South America, he rediscovered a little-known tribe of primitives, the Kagabas. He also has traveled in Tibet and Africa. Cyrus E.

Stegner Cyrus Ephriam Stegner, 91, of 200 Baltimore street, died yesterday at Hanover General hospital where he was admitted Saturday. A son of the late Ephriam J. and Amelia Raubenstine Stegner, he was born in York county. He retired 35 years ago as a portrait enlarger and last worked for the Evening Sun company. He was a member of St.

Matthew's Lutheran church, Hanover Lodge 227, Loyal Order of Moose; Knights of Mystic Chain and Brotherhood of America. His wife Mrs. Katie Slagle Stegner, preceded him in death in 1953. Surviving are: An adopted daughter, Mrs. Thomas Davis, 331 East College avenue, York; one brother, Harvey T.

Stenger, Baltimore street, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Bucher Funeral home, Frederick street. His pastor, Rev. Howard J.

McCarney, will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Samuel Wacker, Former Lewisberry Resident, Succumbs Lewisberry Mrs.

Christeanna Wacker, 84, widow of Samuel Wacker and formerly of here, who resided at 602 Kelker street, Harrisburg, died Saturday morning in a Harisburg hospital after a lingering illness. Surviving are two sons, John Cumberland, and Charles Wacker, 602 Kelker street; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Jennie Sultzbaugh, New Cumberland; and three brothers, Samuel Diller, Mechanicsburg; Harry Diller, Camp Hill, and Daniel Diller, Dillsburg. The funeral will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. from Erney and Urich Funeral home, Lewisberry, with burial in Cross Roads cemetery near Yocumtown.

Officiating will be Rev. Charles Hykes of the Church of God home at Carlisle. Claude Emig hosts to relatives and friends at Brodbeck home to mark occasion. Brodbeck-Mr. and Mrs. Claude Emig, this place, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary at their residence recently when relatives and friends visited at the Emig home. The couple was married Oct.

19, 1905, in the Lutheran parsonage of St. Jacob's (Stone) church by the late Rev. W. H. Ehrhart.

In observance of the anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Emig partook communion during a service conducted in St. Jacob's church by the present pastor and son of the late Rev. Ehrhart, Rev.

Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart. Visitors at the Emig home were: Mr. and Mrs.

The officers are: President, Barry Anderson; vice-president, Ray Nagle; secretary, Glenn Livingston, treasurer, Deanna Grossman. Louella LaPrarie has returned to her home here after spending several weeks at Conesus, N. as the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Jacqueline Lafler. The latter returned to this place and will spend sometime with Miss LaPrarie.

Minnie Wagner Zartman, Spring Grove RD 2, here, succumbed to a heart attack Saturday afternoon while hunting small game in a cornfield near his home. Dr. Thomas M. Hart, county coroner, said death was due to a heart attack. Mr.

Zartman was found about 5:30 p.m., approximately six hours after he left the house, by granddaughter, Mrs. LeRoy Williams. The son of the late Peter and Sarah Becker Zartman, North Codorus township, he was a member of Holiness Gospel Mission church, Hanover. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: A son, Ervin Zartman, Spring Grove RD a daughter, Mrs. Charles Glatfelter, Spring Grove RD seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a brother, Charles B.

Zartman, and a sister, Mrs. George Meckley, both of Sping Grove RD 2. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m, at the Sauter Funeral home, North Main street, Spring Grove. His pastor, Rev. W.

W. Runkle, will officiate. Interment will be in Jefferson Union cemetery. William F. Koch, Near Manchester Succumbs Franklin Koch, 61, husband of Emma M.

Warner Koch, Manchester RD 1, died yesterday at 12:30 p.m. in York hospital. Mr. Koch was a veteran of World War having served as a private in Company 112th Infantry. He was a member of York Aerie 183, Fraternal Order of Eagles, York Volunteer Firemen's Relief association and White Rose Post 556, Veterans of Foreign Wars, of York.

He was the son of the late William and Addie L. Carr Koch. Surviving also are four brothers, Charles Koch, 116 South Newberry street, York; James W. Koch, Manchester RD George R. Koch, 1002 Lancaster avenue, York; and John T.

Koch, 370 King's Mill road, York. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Boll Funeral home, 252 South George street, York, with burial in Gettysburg National cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. M.

L. Kroh, pastor of Seven Velleys Lutheran charge. East Berlin Charge Units Meet Tonight East Berlin Meetings of two organizations and the union counoil of East Berlin United Church of Christ charge will be held tonight. Willing Workers of St. John's church, New Chester, will hold a Christmas key party for all women of the charge at 8 p.m.

Oct. 27-64 Spring Grove Attorney Horace G. Ports, York, scout commissioner of York-Adams Area Boy Scout council, will be speaker for a meeting of Spring Grove PTA tonight at 7:30 o'clock in the local elementary center. The lawyer, also president of the Conservation Society of York County, will speak on "Character and Spiritual Education and the Values and Rewards of Scouting." Cub scout leaders and denmothers are requested to attend. Fathers' Night will be observed during the session with fathers in charge of devotions and singing.

"Citizenship" will be the theme for the meeting which will open the association's annual membership drive. Mrs. N. Wayne, Arnold, PTA president, will chair the session when committee chairmen will report on projects for the ensuing year. Anniversary Opens Services marking the 75th anniversary of Mt.

Zion United Church of Christ began Sunday morning when Rev. Dr. Oswin S. Frantz delivered the sermon. Rev.

Dr. Nevin E. Smith, pastor of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Hanover, was the guest speaker Sunday evening. Special music was provided at the morning service by members of the choir 25 years ago. Carl Henry, tenor, sang "My Soul is Athirst for God' (Gaul) at the evening service.

The altar flowers were placed by church school Class 7 and the basket of flowers was presented by Mr. and Mrs. John Hassler. Serving as acolyte were Patti Yost and Jane Myers. Ushers were Dr.

Ralph B. Zeiders and Stewart Trone. Mt. Zion Notes Rev. F.

Elwood Moreland, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, announced that the annual congregational dinner has been changed from Monday, Nov. 10, to Tuesday evening, Nov. 11, in the social room of the Friendship Hose company building. The Junior Club, ages 9 to 12, will begin sessions at 6 o'clock next Sunday evening.

Mrs. Roy Golden is in charge of the group. Mrs. Golden will need two assistants to help in the programs it was announced. It was announced that Mrs.

Guy R. Becker, the hostess for St. Paul's Student field worker, is accepting invitations for the entertainment of the field worker at Sunday noon and evening meals. The altar flowers were placed Sunday in memory of Mr. and Mrs.

McClellan Swartz by the family. William Henry served as acolyte. Briefs Spring Grove Sportsmen's club will conduct its monthly meeting at 7:30 o'clock this evening at the club farm when the annual election of officers will be held. Refreshments will be served. Joint council of Paradise (Holtzschwamm) Union church will meet at 8 o'clock this evening at the church.

Lester Hershey, Cleveland, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tuscany, Painesville, spent sometime recently visiting the former's father Charles Hershey and brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hershey, Jackson road.

Oct. 27-6t Lorraine J. Smith, Manchester, Dies Manchester- -Lorraine J. Smith, 59, this place, formerly of Red Lion, died at 11:35 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Acres.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Hardy, Red Lion; Mrs. Arsula Gladfelter, Manchester, and Mrs. Lola Eyler, York. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.

Tuesday from the Olewiler Funeral home, 145 East Broadway, Red Lion, by Rev. Claude R. Baublitz, York county institutional chaplain. Interment will be in Red Lion cemetery..
