doubtless know who some of the night riders wore who waited upon them claiming to be operating in the interest of the association If they do not the officers of the association might throw some light on who would be likely to represent or misrepresent them The county officers might help some by assuring witnesses that they would be protected or by offering a reward for the conviction of the parties who are threatening to burn barns blow up railroads and destroy life The reward should be made large enough to induce the terror stricken witnesses to give up information When the first
