at McOanless Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the cemetery of Dan River Baptist Church. Mm. Baynes, of South Boston, died Wednesday in a local hospital. Sho was born July 30, 1893 in Halifax County and was the widow of Orie E.

Baynes. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Vivian B. Arrington of Newport News; four sons, 0. C.

Baynes of South Boston, Owen K. Baynes of Glen Burnie, Baxter Baynes of Roanoke and Maj. William F. Baynes of Colorado Springs, one sister, Mrs. Mary Burgress of South Boston; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandehildren.

29 REIDSVILLE, N. C. Frank Pierce Likens, 57 of RiedsviUe Rt. 8 was found dead Wednesday afternoon a mile and half from Reidsvilte on the new Rt. 29 North.

He was found by a couple of boys riding a bicycle. Dr. Robert E. Basley, Rockingham County Medical Examiner, said he apparently died of natural causes. The victim had last been seen Monday.

He was born in Floyd County and was a son of Samuel and Virginia Gillespie. He had lived around Reidsville since 1921, working as a carpenter and farmer. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. J.

P. Boyd of Danville Mrs. W. E. Barnard and Mrs.

W. T. Harrell, both of Reidsville; three brothers, G. C. Likens of Roanoke L.

H. Likens, Salem, Va and W. E. Likens of Martinsville Va, Funeral services' will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., from the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chape by the Gregory and Harrell. Inter- Mt.

She had abeen in de dining health two years and seriously ill two months. Mrs. Earles, 81, was born in Pittsylvania County, a daughter of the late Virtrue Talbort Hund ley and Jesse Hundley. All life was spent in. Pittsyl vania County and for severa years she was employed by Dan River Inc.

She spent her intire life the county and for the past three years had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Viola Eanes.

On May 14, 1948 she married Charlie Thomas Bowman who died Feb. 25, 1958. Mrs. Bowman was a member of St. John's United Church.

In addition to Mrs. Eanes, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Shields Owens of Danville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Nbrma Anders of San Diego, and Mrs. Jeannie Cook of Danville.

Also two sons, Wallace Bowman of Baltimore, and Charlie T.
