reaching the American Desert following around this the road is good to Deep Hole tweuty-two miles from Buffajo Springs About half way between the two last named places there iB a fine spring called in which are found fish though there is neither any visible inlet or outlet At Deep Hole is another station and plenty of wftter and feed also a public house kept by Messrs Partridge Warm Eight miles further over a good road is the Hot Springs The water tastes of sulphur and can be had at any temperature fpom cold to boiling This is cfltMtinly yery remarkable place and word! it located in Europe Springs to Granite Station is four miles This pieco of road was covered with looc rock which our party removed making a fine road At Granite Creek is a station a public house and plenty of water and feed and meadows where a large quantity of bay will be cut to supply teamsters as well as the Stage Company From Granite Creek to American Desert Is about a mile tliOn for twenty -two miles across the next placo is Cold Springs Where water and feed can be the neighborhood abounds in good grass Here the Company erected a station house and stable The next place is Flowing Springs twelve miles oVsr a
