championship at the Board of Trade par lors last night by the score of 50 to 47 Another record breaking crowd was on hand to witness the match and witnessed a very spectacular game finish the players and several times nounced when the number of points Ellis ns in his again won the lag on the black ball snot shot but missed the next had blood in his eye and by some care ful and shooting hung up a four count for his first inning Ellis then again missed and Daly came back with a count of two more points Ellis kept on playing hard and in his thirteenth frame clicked off the one which put him even with his veteran opponent They were tied for only one Inning however as Daly sent in a count for three and forged to the front Ellis at this stage of the bout showed great ring generalship and by using a little oil now and then soon took the lead In the fiftieth frame the score stood 25 to 20 In favor of Ellis After the half way mark was passed both players took a brace and exhibited marvelous billiards Banks1 follows and five cushion shots were made with ease Daly found it almost imposfble to get a and with a little more on several shots would have ended the match with more buttons El lis
