The arrest is considered one of the most iaipor tant ever.made in the West, as it breaks up a nest of counterfeiters who have long infested this section of country and heretofore escaped punishment. A large amount of money, presses, plates, was captured. The parties are held for a Rearing, and the evidence against them is conclusive.

A num ber of other arrests will be made from the evidence obtained from these parties. OurHstilKoad. We onlv notice this matter at this juncture to call attention to a few facts conncted with it. The 21st section of the act of incor poration, ratified the 23th day of February, 1873, says "The stiid Carolina Central Railway Company shall complete the said railway to the town ot bhelbv, Cleaveland coun ty, in twelve months after the said company organizes and gets possession of said railway; neither 'shall the said company at any time aban don the. said railway from the town of Lin coirs ton to the town of Shelby." Has not the time expired? Did not said company get possession of said railroad, on or about the -30th of Maw 1873 If so, has it not forfeit ed its charter, in failing to complete the road to Shelbv, within the time hv thn or incorporation Vfe think it has.
