On the 26th inst. Mtb. Dorthy Lons- ford died at an advanced age of 84 years; and was Duiied: Saturday at Shady Grove, in the presence of many, Revs W. A. Myers, S.

S. Goforth and T. W. Comer preaching the Funeral. Hep husband having long since died, Lshe had for 20 years lived near her son L.

W. Lonsford, andfor the last few with him. She was- of a kiml disposition, posessed a strong mind and was a woman of prayer and scriptural reading. The survivers of her brothers and sisters are Lewis Becknill, Clara Becknill, Larkin Becknill $who was learned in the law and was a Repre sentative of the county) and Mrs. Noah Brown, whose husband wasat one time considered the wealthiest man in the county.
