Vesta Brundage visited at the Sam Sesson home in Helmick Monday, afternoon. "Jack" Harder of Council Grove is timekeeper for the extra- gang that is working out of Wilsey now. Some of our energetic Wilsey people have been very busy the past week at the city park making sand piles, fixing croquet grounds, etc, something to interest the children, and the younger set. Miss Minnie Brown, I think, will be the- champion player incroquet. Campbells will have charge of an ice cream parlor and soda fountain at the Wilsey Hbtal.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Epstrum have returned from their honeymoon? trip to Colorado. Wilsey lost in the ball' game be tween Wilsey and Cottonwood Falls which was played on our home grounds Wednesday of this week.

The M. E. Sunday school had planned for a picnic in Burton's Grove, near Parkersville on Tuesday afternoon but on account of threat ening weather they did not go out but had their supper togeher in the base 'merit of the church and everyone re ports a good feed with quantities of ice cream and lemonade. Mr. Sam Swenson came in early this week to look after his farming interests here. Dil'ey, was here on Monday evening trying to put through -a deal with the Martin Bakery, whereby they would take charge of the business and handle products for the whole circuit. We did not learn whether the proposition met with Joe's approval or not. Mr.
