It has been talked on the streets of Lakin that Rev. P. J. McCorry was not allowed to talk at Syracuse. From- the follewing, taken from the Syracuse Journal, it would appear that the street talk is not true.

Very few persons in this town will have any sympathy with the anonymous writer of the question that was placed in the box at the door of the hall last night and which the Catholic clergyman, Rev. P. J. McCorry read from the stage as a sample "'of some of the other questions that were placed in that box. The question was extremely insulting to the priest and it is not to be wondered at that- after finding such questions in the box that Rev.

McCorry should ignore the questions that were submitted with a. desire -for real information. Rev. McCorry lecture on "Thh American 'Home" was sublimely beautiful and full of practical philosophy, and the large audience was held spellbound by the 'preacher's eloquence. His chapel car, St.

Peter, was on the track here Thursday afternoon and evening and was visited by many persons. DECORATION DAY.
