The couple reached out to ghost hunters Adam Berry and Amy Bruni, stars of a new TLC series, An episode featuring the Wallingford couple aired Friday on TLC. The show documents Berry and Bruni as they investigative reported paranormal activity in homes across the country. The ghost hunters use psychics and other techniques to help the residents discover the origins of the activity. The show selected Jeannine and Chris Kremzar, longtime Wallingford residents, out of hundreds of homeowners nationally who reported ghostly activity.

Since moving into her home on Brookview Avenue in 1998, Jeannine Kremzar said she has experienced paranormal activity items inexplicably moving around, unexplained scratches on her face, voices and shadows of men. In August 1886, Wallingford resident Edward Turrill found a bloody shoebox containing a dismembered and unidentifiable torso while walking his dog in the Parker Farm district near the Cheshire town line. A medical examination indicated that the torso was that of a man aged 20 to 40, according to Record-Journal archives. The body had been dead for five to 10 days when found.

In doing research, Bruni said she found similar cases of people in the nearby area reporting paranormal activity. Strangely, the ghost hunters first came across the case on Aug. 8, the 130-year anniversary of the shoe box discovery. In the episode, Berry and Bruni set out to find out if there is any connection between the Shoe Box Murder and paranormal activity at homes in the area. The first season, which debuted on Oct.

21, includes eight episodes. About 4:32 p.m., police responded to TD Bank, 733 E. Main for a robbery. A man implied he had a weapon and demanded money, police said.

The man fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money in an unknown direction. unclear if he was in a vehicle, according to police. There was a large police presence at the bank and on Swain Avenue after the robbery. The bank is located at the corner of East Main Street and Swain Avenue. Police cleared the scene around 5:30 p.m.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man is asked to contact police at 203-630-6334. Record-Journal sta No injuries after tractor trailer rollover CHESHIRE Emergency crews responded to Highland and East Johnson avenues Friday evening after a tandem tractor trailer rolled over. The incident occurred about 5:15 p.m. No injuries were reported, according to authorities. There were minor traffic delays in the area.

Bryan Lipiner Ferndale Market under new ownership BERLIN Ferndale Market Fresh on Chamberlain Highway has a new owner. Edwin Sanchez said Friday he purchased the store from Salim and Samira Saleh, who started Ferndale Market Fresh about five months ago. The market remains open.
