connected on 10 of 19 passes without an interception and rolled up 284 rushing yards Halfback Larry Johnson picked up 74 yards on 18 carries for the winner and wingback John Mack of Kansas City picked up 66 yards in seven carries to help the Missourians maintain ball control Illinois State was stopped on the Central Missouri 12-yard line in the only serious threat of the first half The first Mule
