teacher sa- The Board of Education's proposed budget for 1969-70 which remains to be considered by the Town Council in a series of budget workshops shows an increase of nearly $1 million over last year's appropriation In releasing his budget lor next year Mayor William Bertini offered the school board a vote of confidence on its budget deliberations by passing the education budget along to the council without any change Under the charter provisions the mayor has the fiscal power -the- departmental requests which are subsequently forwarded to the legislative body- for consideration It marked the second consecutive year that the mayor approved the education budget without any paring The budget also nbted that the school board faces an estimated deficit of $51329 for the current fiscal year
