head of the Horticulture Department" in the college at State College and recently received a citation for the culture of geraniums Mr Walker went by plane to Denver to attend the National Convention of Horticulturists Sunday Both Mr and Mrs Walker were reared ing the funeral were Mrs Anna Kreinhring Mr and Mrs Eldon Worm Mr and Mm Albert Worm and family Mr mid Mrs Doan Ells Mr and Mm Don Mittan pupils of Miss Cowley Mr and Mrs Maynard Evers and family called at the Leonard Germer home in Hebron Thursday evening Mr and Mrs Dan Wiedel and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mis Ernest Wiedel and family at Hebron Mr and Mrs Bob Fry and family and friends of Holdrege and Allen Fry of McCook were Sunday afternoon and lunch guests of the A Frys Mr and Mrs Bud Meyer and family and Mrs Wm Fangmeier attended the funeral of Mrs brother Arnold Bartling of Fremont 16 who died Nov 18 Funeral services were conducted at Fremont and also at St Paul Lutheran Church near Gilead Burial was in St Paul Cemetery Thursday Mr and Mrs Wayne Hedden of Greenwood and Mrs Anna Will-man of Fairbury visited Thursday at the Wm Fangmeier home Mr and Mrs Dan Wiedel entertained at dinner Thursday evening in honor of their daughter birthday Guests were Mr and Mrs Frank Wiedel and family and Mrs Louis Wiedel Iouis Wiedel later joined the group Miss Minnie Cowley was a Tuesday dinner guest of Mrs Louise Friedensau was born on Oct 25 1898 in Freistatt Mo Laurence Co He was baptized on Nov 2 1898 in the Lutheran Church by Rev Rosekle When 10 years old he moved with his parents to northeast of Friedensau where he attended school and where he spent his Ixiyhood days He was confirmed on March 16 1913 in Trinity Lutheran Church Friedensau by the late Rev Henry Schaback-er On Nov 16 1922 he was united in marriage with Rose Kreinhring at Friedensau by Rev Schabaok-er This union was blessed with three children Delbert Wilma and Vernon He was a farmer all his life and lived at the following places: He bron Friedensau Hubbell and Stoddard In 1947 they mover to an acreage near Deshler where he did part time jobs on account of his health which was failing the last years It was on July 25 when he entered Omaha hospital for an incurable illness being very ill for a long time On Sept 26 he came home feeling some better On the early morning of Oct 16 he died very suddenly at his home at the age of 64 years 11 mo and 21 days lie was preceded in death by his father in Jan 1963 brother Edwin in 1954 sister Renata in 1910 also an adopted sister He leaves his wife Rose one daughter Mrs Geo Slama two sons Delbert and Vernon all of Lincoln one son-in-law two daughters-in-law 11 grandchildren his mother Mrs Alvina Worm 92 yrs old his mother-in-law Mrs Anna Kreinhring of Hebron two brothers Eldon and Albert of Hebron one sister Del-ma Mrs John Pagel of Deshler Funeral services were held on Oct 18 in St Peters Church the Rev John Kovac officiating Burial was in the church
