-Section A-Page Eight Miss Germain, W. M. White Wed in Cathedral Ceremony Miss Gloria Katherine Germain and William Marlow White Jr. were married in a ceremony held in Holy Rosary Cathedral in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Mr.

White, who attended Texas Western College, is the nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Dan White of El Paso, the grand nephew of W. R. Dorris and Mrs.

Fred Wilder of El Paso and the grandson of Joseph Plummer Dorris and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan T. White. He is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. William Marlow White Sr. of Sacramento, Calif. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Grace McMorris Germain and the late Charles William Germain.

The double ring wedding ceremony was held on July 18 with Rev. J. Kutarna officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, J. Ronald Germain.

She wore a gown of white, French brocade styled with train at cathedral length. A crown of petals and pearls held her veil of illusion and she carried a missal topped with a white orchid from which fell streamers of stephanotis. Joseph Plummer White of San Francisco was his brother's best man. Following the wedding trip to Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, the newlyweds will make their home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The bride was graduated from Qu'Appelle Diocesan School in Regina and is one Bridegroom's Family Is From El Paso Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Hawes Feted at Open House Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M.

Hawes will be honored at an open house at 5 p.m. tomorrow by his parents Mr. and Mrs. M. D.

Hawes of 1139 Caper road. The refreshment table will be covered with a hand-embroidered white cloth and centered with a floral arrangement of summer flowers. Greeting guests with the honorees will be Mrs. Hawes and her daughter, Miss Lyda Hawes. Mrs.

Hawes will wear a pink sheath with white accessories Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Hawes for the occasion. Her motherin-law has chosen a white sheath with navy accessories.

Davis and Miss Lovey Neill. The honorees have been teaching in Nashville, After a brief visit in El Paso, the couple will reside in Austin where Mr. Hawes will work toward his doctor's degree in history. Miss Wade Is Honored At a Surprise Shower Miss Beverley Wade, whose marriage to Paul Mueller will be an event of Aug. 21 in Christ Episcopal Church, was honored at a surprise kitchen shower.

Members of Xi Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi were hostesses for the fete. The residence of Mrs. David Sills, chapter president, was the setting for the party. The refreshment table was covered with a white lace cloth and centered with a white cake decorated with bride and bridegroom figurines. Yellow roses, the sorority flower in bouquet arrangement, were flanked by tall white tapers in white holders.

Miss Wade is the daughter of Mrs. Paul Wade, a member of Xi Psi Chapter, and a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi. El Paso Museum of Art Open House Is Slated The Women's Architectural League of El Paso will be hostesses for an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. tomorrow in the Museum of Art for the opening of the "Homes for Better Living" exhibit presented by the El Paso Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Also to be shown will be a display of maps and graphs of the Chamizal Settlement prepared by the El Paso Department of Planning.

For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Waters is wearing a blue shantung gown with pink whose guests were John's sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Dwight Clark of Ruidoso.

The Clarks are houseguests of the Chauvins and plan to spend a few more days in El Paso.
