a Lions, Elephants, People In Circus (No Rabbits) Gary Alan directs performing lion. It sounds tike the old rabbit propagation theory in reverse when you talk about taking 400 to come up with three. But no rabtMts. Animals yes. It takes 400 Shrine Temple memben to produce the annual three-rings of circus activity set for April 27-May 2 at the State Fairgrounds Coliseum.

Matinees are scheduled at 2:30 m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 m. Friday, and Saturday and at 1 and 3:30 m. Sunday. Evening shows will be at 8:15 Tuesday through Saturday.

School children from Uncotn and numerous southeastern Nebraska communities and residents of retirement homes, the Beatrice State and the Lincoln Regional Center will be provided free tickets by local businessmen. They are distributed through schools and businesses. All jxoceeds from the Shrine Drcus go to the Sesostris Shrine Temple, with money benefiting the Shriners' children's to Sesostris circus chairman, Stan Purtzer Work on this 31st annual circus began in mid- November, Purtzer said. Under the baton of William Browning, the Shrine Orcus orchestra will open the Bicentennial show with an overture and circus salute to America. Gary Alan will start the ring with a mini-pride of lions involved in a roaring good time.

Choir Here The Lincoln University Concert Choir of Jefferson Qty, will be in Liiwoln Friday through next Sunday. The black choir of 25 voices is directed by Robert L. Mitchell accompanist is his wife, Charlene Mitchell. The choir, which was organized in 1866, has toured the United States and into Canada and has performed on public television.

Her Lincoln program will also feature Rudy Atwood, a pianist from the Old-Fashioned Revival Hour, and a marim- Wst who played with the Kansas Qty Philharmonic for two years. Miss name is often associated with sacred music. Named the top female sacred vocalist in 1973 by Gospel West, Norma Zimmer she has been a soloist in Bklly Graham crusade and appears on the Hour erf Power program.
