(Howell) McMains He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad at McCook for two years and had worked as a conductor in Alliance since 1977 He was a member of the Eagles National Rifle Association and UTU He married Tina Nelson in Alliance on June 18 1983 He is survived by his wife of the home three children Christopher Heidi and Timmy his parents of McCook and a sister Sherry Stcinke Palisade Neb Funeral services arc tentatively scheduled at 2 pm Monday in Alliance Memorials may be given to the family Bales -Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements Clarence Winten 78 ALLIANCE Clarence Win-ten 78 died Friday May 7 1993 at his rural home near Hcmingford He was bom April 2 1915 at Hcmingford to Jake and Maggie (Anncn) Winten He lived and farmed all his life in Box Butte County He served in the US Air Force for three and one-half years during World Warll He married Elna Christensen at WaterboroSC on Aug 25 1942 Survivors include his wife Elna sons Larry Winten and family of Denver Colo and Bruce Winten and family of Hemingford daughter Karen Roscnbcrger and family of Lincoln sister Agnes Lockridge of Alliance and eight grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents a brother and a sister Funeral services will be held Monday May 10 at 10 am at St United Lutheran Church in Alliance with the Rev Guy Redfield officiating Burial will be in the Hemingford was bom March 25 1912 in Westerville Neb to Frederick and Opel (Gardner) Coleman He spent his boyhood in Alliance attended schools there and worked at the Piggly Wiggly store in the 400 block of Box Butte He lived in Salt Lake City Sacramento Calif and Yakima Wash before moving to Salem in 1950 He worked at Pay Less Northwest until he retired in the early 1970s He married Bcmicce A Devereaux in Alliance on Aug 23 1930 Survivors include his wife and daughter Marvel Lee Johnson of Salem brothers Frederick Coleman of Alliance and Millard Coleman of Boise Idaho three grandchildren and eight
