Badding and Janet were the Robert Badding, Bill R. Badding and Elmer Bedford families of Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Badding of Lidderdale, the Don Badding. Leo Berning and Lon Diers families of Arcadia.

Vows Are Exchanged In Churdan Anne Frances Geisler of Jefferson became the bride of Sammy L. Baugh of Carroll, July 13 at 2 p.m. in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev.

John Schissel at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church in Churdan. The bride's father gave her away. Their parents are Mr. and Mrs.

Edward Geisler Jr. of Jefferson and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Baugh of Carroll. The bride's white dacron organza scoop-necked, butterfly-sleeved gown flowed from an empire bodice to a full-length aisle-wide train.

Her Camelot cap of lace and satin secured a triple illusion veil. Yellow and purple chrysanthemums, the bride's chosen colors, decorated the altar. Maid of honor Jacque Burke and attendants Jennifer Nickolls, Mary Ellen Ambrose and Teresa Manahan wore identical lavender V-neck, floor-length gowns. Flower girl Marty Ann Baugh wore a similar dress and Johnny Hansen was ringbearer. The best man was Uave Kastle and groomsmen were Andy Baugh, Donnie Stanzyk and Kevin Kroiger.

Steve Sporlinger and Kerry Kroeger were ushers. Richard Carey provided vocal and organ music. Dave Geisler was altar boy. A 3 p.m. reception in Columbkille's Hall was attended by 200 people following the service.

The Boyd Baughs had entertained 25 at a Redwood Inn rehearsal dinner the evening before. The bride is a graduate of the Paton-Churdan Community High School and is employed by the American Athletic Company in Jefferson. The groom attended Carroll High School and is employed with his father in the trucking business. After a Denver, week-long trip, the couple will reside at the Meyer Trailer Court, Lot 9 in Carroll. and Mrs. Sammy L. Baugh Mari Balk Is Honored Mari Balk, bride-elect of John Hall of Glidden, was complimented at a shower Sunday afternoon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Balk Jr.

Hostesses for the backyard patio party were Mrs. Thomas Schapman and MaryGaffney. Guests were 17 of Miss Balk's former classmates and friends. The table centerpiece featured yellow and orange daisies arranged in a scoop. Miss Balk and Mr.

Hall will be wed Aug. 23 at Holy Spirit Church. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hall of Glidden.

LEAVES HOSPITAL Jerry Wiskus was dismissed Tuesday from St. Anthony Regional Hospital where he and his wife were taken after being injured Saturday morning when the motorcycle they were riding was in collision with a car south of Carroll on Highway 71. Mrs. Wiskus is still hospitalized, in Room 301. Mr.

and Mrs. George Bruns of Rockford, 111., left Wednesday morning after visiting for a week in the Richard Bruns home in Carroll and Vernon Bruns home in Sac City. The three men are brothers. Clubs Met Tuesday for Card Games The COMMUNITY Club was entertained at an afternoon pinochle party at the home of Mrs. John Sanders.

High score -prize was won by Mrs. Ed Lenz, who will be hostess next on Aug. 6. Mrs. William J.

second.high; Mrs. Bernard Baumhover, traveling; and Mrs. Frank Thielen, tally. Mrs, Frances Berning was a guest other than members. Mrs.

Felix Langenfeld was hostess for the HIGH BIDDERS Club's bi-weekly party at Tony's Restaurant. Bridge was played in the afternoon, Frank Liewer, Mrs. Walter Millenacker, Mrs. James Wieland; and Mrs. L.

B. Westeridorf. winning score prizes. Mrs. Vernis'Jiiergens was an additional guest.

The next hostess will be, Mrs. Ed Schroeder, July 30. Euchre was played by me of the JOLLYETTES Club at Mrs. Larry Bunnell's home. At the close of the evening Mrs.

Johnj Oswald was awarded high score prize'-and Mrs 1 Gene Becker, low. The club will meet next with Mrs. Donald Eifler, Aug. 6. Mrs.

Ernestine Sanders, Mrs. Laura Finegan and Mrs. Winifred Conley received score prizes at the GOLDEN CIRCLE bridge group's meeting at the clubrooms. Hostess for 'the afternoon was Mrs. Aurora Mungon.

Mrs. 0. E. Heider will be hostess next week. INJURIES FATAL OMAHA, Neb.

Leon Baumhover STOP Club, 7 p.m., 408 W. 7th Street Golden Circle pinochle Pomeroy Wins Honors at Workshop DEDHAM Dan Pomeroy, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Merle Pomeroy of Dedham, recently returned with several honors from a 4-week workshop in speech and debate at the University of Iowa.

He will be a senior at Carroll Community School next year. The workshop was culminated in a 3-day tournament. Pomeroy's honors included a 5-win, no loss record in the elimination rounds with partner Kevin Bowen of Ames. Pomeroy and Bowen were eliminated in the semi-final round on a split-decision ballot. Pomeroy took the runnerup award in total speaker points, in debate.

He also made the finals in original oratory where he won second place honors. Students from Illinois, North and South Dakota, Texas and Iowa attend the workshop. Instructors included the University's director of debate, college varsity debaters and other graduate and doctorate speech personnel. BOARD TO MEET The regular monthly meeting of the Northwest Regional Library Board of Trustees will be Tuesday, July 23 in Storm Lake at 3 p.m. Officers are Installed at Unit Meeting A slate of officers headed by Mrs.

Charles Harms as president was installed by Mrs. Earl Berns, a past president, at the July meeting of Maurice Dunn Unit No. 7, American Legion Auxiliary, Tuesday night. Other officers are Mrs. Vincent Stangl, first vice president; Mrs.

Ralph Hoffmann, second vice president; Mrs. Dale Bernholtz, secretary; Mrs. Mary Johannsen) treasurer; Mrs. Barry Jensen, chaplain; Mrs. Louis Jenson, historian; and Mrs.

Arnold Witt, sergeanti-at-arms. The meeting, held at Legion hall, was conducted by the outgoing president, Mrs. John Beyerink and closed by Mrs. Harms. Several members plan to attend the Department convention Thursday and Friday in Des Moines.

It was announced that dues in the senior junior units may be paid at this time and that junior dues are raised for the coming Members were urged a commercial coupons for a kitchen fund. 20. JONS REUNION ARCADIA The Jons family annual reunion was held Sunday at the Westside Community Building. More than 50 attended including the two oldest Mrs. Martha Jons of Wall Lake and Mrs. Anna Jons of Arcadia.
