The inauguration of the senior division by the Valley Babe Ruth League brings the total number of players in the league to more than 200 youths. The league's regular division (1315 years) opened its season last week with seven teams participating.

Following are the senior division rosters: Hazleton Jeff Jones, John Baran, Bob Gavio, Joe Gavio. On May 20 the Cranberry broth er team won the 400-mile race from Lexington, N.C., and a week earlier. May 12, was second in another 500-mile race from Glendale.

All this despite a slow start in which Swiech Bros, could show only a thrid-place finish in the first four races of the season. Honed to a sharp edge under the rigorous training program Swiech Bros, loft has maintained this season, the Cranberry team's birds remain distinct threats in the four remaining events in the series, which will conclude July 1. A five-miunte delay in clocking the first birds home probably cost Swiech Bros. Anthracite Concourse honors. The delay was occasioned by a distraction created by a "stray" pigeon near the Swiech Bros, loft when the race winner arrived at the coop.

As it was, Mount Carmel gained concourse honors by a narrow margin. Cook loft, Tomhicken, continued to provide stiff competition in the fight for average speed honors in TONIGHT'S ENTRIES l'CM'ONO PKTK Brenda Blackguard, James K.
