The appointment was announced by Athletic Director Bill Orwig. Scarbrough has been head football and basketball coach at Northwestern State College at Alva, Okla. He is well known to Elliott, Bill Jennings and Dee Andros, other members of the staff. All have had contact with him during then coaching days at Oklahoma.

The Cornhusker staff now in- eludes: Pete Elliott, head roach Bill Jennings, backfieid coach Dee Andros, line coach Don Scarbrough, assistant coach (Jene Stauber, freshman coach All of the coaches except Scarbrough are now residing in Lincoln.
