Laurel St, died Saturday at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital following a five-week illness. He was born in Tresckow, a son of the late John F. and Susanna (Boyle) Kinney and resided in Hazleton most of his life.

The deceased was a member of the Holy Trinity R.C. Church, N. Laurel St. Prior to his retirement in 1948, he was a salesman for the Edison Storage Battery Co. He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Petrill; three sons, James, at home; John, Baltimore, and Robert, Wheaton, two daughters, Mrs.

William (Mary) Mathey, Tacoma, and Mrs. Joseph (Joan) Yanni, Al-lentown; two sisters, Rose Kinney, Arlington, and Mrs. John (Genevieve) Meyer, Newark, N.J.; and a brother, James Bethlehem. Thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m., from the Boyle Funeral Home, 100 S.

Wyom-ing St, with a requiem high mass in Holy Trinity R.C. Church at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in the St. Gabriel's Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited tonight at eight o'clock. Robert L. Seitzinger, retired Freeland pharmacist, who resided at 608 Centre St, Freeland, died Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph Hospital, where he had been a patient five days. Born in Gordon, Pa, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Coopen- haver Seitzinger, he had resided in Freeland the past 66 years.

He graduated from Gordon High School and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. The deceased was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Church, Free-land. He and his wife, the former Hilda Fox, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary June 3. The deceased was a veteran of WWI, during which he served with the medical corps.

He was a member of the Freeland Building and Loan Association, of which he served for 25 years. He was also a ember of the board of directors of the Peoples First National Bank and Trust Co, Freeland branch. Other organizations of which he was a member were the Freeland Card Club; Arbutus Lodge No. 611, Caldwell Consistory of Bloomsburg; Hazleton Royal Arch Chapter No. 277; Mt.

Vernon Com-mandery No. 73, Knight Templar; and the Anthracite Council No. 62, Royal Select Masters. He also was a member of the Greater Hazleton Shrine Club, Wilkes-Barre Irem Temple; Luzerne County and American Pharmaceutical Associations; National Association of Retail Druggists; American Legion Post 473, Free-land, of which he was a charter member; WWI Veterans Post No. 1910, Freeland; Benevolent Protective Order of Elks No.

Sher- 28 the 219 the ing STEPHEN POTASH Stephen Potash, 239 Berner Ave, died Monday at noon at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been admitted earlier in the day. He was born in 'Jeanesville, a son of the late Stephen and Susan (Kotchis) Potash, and had resided in this city the greater part of his life. He was employed by Tenneco Chemicals. General ioam Division, and was a member St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church.

Surviving is a brother John, Hazleton, and the following three sisters: Mrs. Michael (Mary) Berish, Mrs. Anna Stola, Mrs. Jo seph (Olga) Hanculak, all of Hazle ton. There are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Bonin Funeral Home, 2nd Street en trance, with a requiem high mass at 9:30 in St. Mary's Byzantine Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

JOSEPH (SYNOSKI) USTIONOFSKI SR. Joseph (Synoski) Ustionofski 112 Old St, Harwood, died Sunday at 3:50 p.m. at the St. Joseph Hos pital, where he had been a patient the past month. He was born in Harwood, son of the late Michael and Anna Lem- shak Ustionofski, and lived there all his life.

Prior to his retirement he was employed at the Humboldt Mines. He was a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Harwood Fire Co. Surviving are his widow, the former Anna Slizofski; two sons Joseph Harleigh, and Edward, Harwood; four grandchildren, two sisters and a brother: Mrs. Michael (Mary) Sterenczak, Linden, N.J, Michael, Harwood, and Mrs.

Harry (Rose) Carley, Old Bridge, N.J. A brother, Stanley, preceded him in death. The funeral will be held Wednes day at 8:30 a.m. from the John J. Pusti Funeral Home, 480 W.

Broad St, with mass of requiem in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 9 o'clock, and interment in Calvary R. C. Cemetery. A parastas service will be held by the Rev.

Stephen Shymansky this evening at 8 o'clock. Senior Citizens To Plan Activities Plans for future activities and bus trips will be discussed Wednesday by members of the YMCA Senior Citizens when they conduct their first meeting for the summer at 7:30 p. m. in the YMCA building on South Church Street. It was announced that Wednesdays meeting will be the last time members will be able to place a deposit for the Silver Bay and Camel Back bus trips.

Numerous Firemen At Harwood Blaze A television set in a bedroom of the Gerald Dinsmore home, 175 Old St, Harwood, caught fire Sunday afternoon with the Harwood Fire Co. responding to the call at 2:45 p.m. Harwood firemen were assisted by fire companies participating in the Sheppton-Oneida Fire Co. par ade. They included Cressona Good Will Co, McAdoo, Ringtown, West Hazleton, Gilberton, Conyngham, Sybertsville, and the Hazleton fire chief, William Nilles.

Fire damage was confined to the one room of the Dinsmore home, but there was water and smoke damage to other parts of the house, as well as smoke damage to an adjacent house. ON DEAN'S LIST Edward Roger Hines, son of Mrs. Emma Hines of Drums RD 2, and the late Edward Hines, has been named to the dean's list at Penn sylvania State University, Hazleton Campus, where he is a freshman. The funeral of Mrs. Ella Willem, who died Wednesday in Conyng ham, was held Saturday with burial in East Ridge Lawn Cemetery, Delawanna, N.J. The Rev. Lawrence Alt Calvary Community 'Baptist Church of Pennsock, N.J, officiated. The funeral of Adam Motel, West Hazleton, who died Thursday, was held yesterday morning from the John J.

Pusti Funeral Home, with high mass of requiem in Transfiguration R.C. Church. The Rev. Humphrey Tobias, brother-in-law of the deceased was celebrant and gave the blessing at the funeral home and at the grave in Calvary R.C. Cemetery.

The Rev. Mark Bochinsky was deacon and the Rev, John Madaj was sub-deacon. Pallbearers were Lawrence, Leon and Albert Motel Jerry Hir colla, Paul and Henry Minnick, all nephews of the deceased, and Thomas Bielskie, grandson of the deceased. The funeral of Andrew Danko of 19 Spring St, Upper Lehigh, who died on Thursday in the Hazleton State General Hospital, was held Saturday morning from the Petrilli Funeral Home, Freeland. The' Rev.

Edmund Roman was the celebrant ol a nigh mass in St. John's Catholic Church, Free-land. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, where the Revs. Roman and John Purcell gave the blessing at the grave. Pallbearers were Andrew Brez-nitsky, John Susa, Joseph Hudock, Michael Garlic, Michael Kislan and John Waycekoski.

The funeral of Mrs. Veronica Bredbenner, who died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital, was held Mon day morning from the Bonin Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Waselus gave the blessing at the funeral home, celebrated the requiem high mass in St.

Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Freeland, and gave the blessing at the grave in Mount Laurel Memorial Park. Pallbearers were John Motsko, Michael Seroka, Joseph Karmo- nick, John Phillips Charles Bredbenner and Harold Bredben ner. Mrs. Helen (Kasmarsik) Kacz- marczyk, of 117 Washington St, West Hazleton, who died on Friday in her home, was buried Monday morning from the Fierro Funeral Home. The Rev.

Caglioti gave the blessing in the funeral home and celebrated a high mass of re quiem in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Freeland. He also gave the blessing at the grave in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased, were Robert, Joseph and Francis Branz, Leonard Lorenzetti, Henry Bott and Leo Zambotti. Vehicle Towing Trailer Upsets A station wagon towing a house trailer overturned on IR-80 at 3:10 p.m.

Monday near the Columbia County line in Nescopeck Township, injuring the wife of the driver. State Police at Troop said Mrs. Edna Spisak, of 25 Chopin Drive, Wayne, N.J, was taken to the Berwick Hospital following the accident. A hospital spokesman said last night that the woman received extensive lacerations of the right arm, and had been admitted in satisfactory condition after undergoing surgery. Police said Richard Spisak was driving east when the right rear tire of the station wagon blew out, after which the vehicle began to jackknife.

W-B New Mine Safety-Health Headquarters Wilkes-Barre has been selected as one of four new district headquarters for health and safety matters, according to the U. S. Bu reau of Mines.

The newly expanded nine district system, including the regional of fice and other headquarters in Pikeville and Barbourville, Ky, and Morgantown, W. would allow the bureau to "achieve a more effective distribution of the work force." Operations at present include district offices at Norton, Mt. Hope, W. Vincennes, Denver, Colo, and Pittsburgh. Bureau spokesman explained the new district offices will report directly to Washington and that expansion will reduce number of mines under each district's con trol.

Visit Vets In Hospitals The Hospital Committee of the Greater Hazleton Veterans Association visited veterans last night at Hazleton State Hospital and St. Jo seph Hospital. Gifts were given the veteran patients and assistance given in their claims with the Veterans Administration by service officer Paul John Baker. Veterans visited at the Hazleton State Hospital were: John Dunni- gan, Stanley Perchak, George Mar-sko, Michael Stoffa, Neal Gallag her, George Boyer, Paul Evancho, Frederick Jones, Grover Houser, Otto Barbush, Walter Breuningsen, James Dors, George Calarco, Nicholas Calucci and Joseph Tenshaw.

Church Picnic Set For July 24 and 25 The annual picnic of St. John the Baptist Polish National Catholic Church will be held July 24 and 25 on the parish grounds at 12th and Church Sts, city. The Rev. PARKING LOT MISHAP Two cars parked on the parking lot of Discountland, 22nd and North Vine Streets, were slightly damaged at 5:55 p.m. Monday when the brake of one car was re leased by a child and drifted back into the second car. Cruiserman John DiBello said the car of John D. Wanick drifted back into the car of Dominick D'Angelo, 1058 Alter St. after the child in Wanick's car released the brake.

MICHAEL LAZO Michael Lazo, of 356 Park Freeland, died suddenly at 7:30 p.m. yesterday in the Hazleton State General Hospital. Born in Freeland, he was a son of the late Michael and Helen Petrushka Lazo, and was a member of St.

Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Freeland. Prior to locating on the North Side area three years ago, he lived in Pittsburgh where he was secretary of the Greek Catholic Union for more than 30 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the U.S. Steel Co. at the Home-stead plant.

Surviving are his wife, the former Susan Magula, and the following children: Edward, Hamilton, Ohio; Michael, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Anthony (Irene) Speranzo, Oklahoma City, Joseph, Louisiana; and twins, Francis and Fran-cine, both at home; seven grand-children and the following brothers and sisters, Andrew, home; Mrs. John (Mary) Zabach, Freeland; Joseph, West Hazleton; Mrs. George (Helen) Bradish, Freeland; and Mrs. Robert (Anne) Heisner, this city.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held from the McNulty Funeral Home, Free-land, at a time to be announced. MRS. VERONICA KULLA Mrs. Veronica Kulla, Oak Street, Tresckow, died Sunday at 6 p.m.

at Hazleton State General Hospital where she had been admitted as a medical patient Saturday. Born in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Tomas- check) Voycheck, and resided in Tresckow most of her life. She was a member of St. Michael's R.C. Church, Tresckow.

Her husband, Andrew, died in 1926, and she is survived by four children: Michael, Williamsport. Mrs. Edward (Anna) Kemzura, Tamaqua, Miss Mary Kulla, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Edward (Susan) McElwame, Fayetteville, N. C.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the Burcin Home for Funerals Wed-nesday at 9:30 a.m. with requiem high mass in St. Michael's R.C. Church, Tresckow at 10 o'clock, and interment in the parish ceme tery.
