The son of Samuel U. and Mattie Ginn Parsons, he was born in Columbus Dec. 23, 1875, and moved to Lamar County at the age of 15. After graduation from old Blossom Academy at Blossom, Texas, he became connected with the Santa Fe Railway and was later transferred to Gainesville. He resided there until 1914 when he returned to Paris, having lived since then on Pine Bluff St.

He was actively engaged as a partner in operation of the old City Cash Store until his retirement in 1938 board of stewards. But, the President added, defense articles transferred, including some still waiting to be shipped, amounted to an additional $35,946,701, while various services, such as repairing naval vessels, added up to still another figure of.
