National Restaurant Associa- tion President and CEO Dawn Sweeney recently recognized the winners at the Share Our Strength's Conference of Leaders. The association president, Deborah Dowdell, accepted the award on behalf of the associa- tion. "Deborah is a long-time advo- cate for the restaurant community involvement, and no surprise to us that NJRA took the lead in getting its members involved in the Great American Dine Out," Sweeney said. Millions of consumers dined out atmore than 4,100 restaurants during the Sept.

19 to Sept. 25 fundraiser. Participating restau- rants donated a percentage of sales, offered special promotions or collected donations from cus- tomers.
