and his sister, Margaret Joseph. At KPTS for over 50 years, he was devoted to public broadcasting. He volunteered at his church and at Oaklawn Elementary. He was deeply loved by all for his music, humor and kindness. Memorial Service 2 p.m.

Saturday, February 20, at First UU Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to KPTS or First Unitarian Universalist Church of Wichita. Browning, Frank E. 67, retired roofer, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in Newkirk, OK. Frank was born on July 28, 1948 in Wellington, KS.

His hobbies included camping, waterskiing and fishing. Survivors include: daughter, Tina Teare of Derby; son, Frank Browning Richards, Jr. of Belle Plaine; sisters, Mary Smith and Betty Gragg, both of Carthage, TX; cousins and caretakers, Butch and Lila Cink of Newkirk, OK; 4 grandchildren. Send condolences to www.smithfamilymortuaries.com Burke, Micky Shawn Age 31, left us on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. He was born on January 23, 1985 in Healdton, OK. As a child he moved to Kansas with his family, and resided in Goddard.

He graduated from Goddard High School, afterwards he attended Wichita State University where he achieved his Bachelors in Political Science. There after he began a Naval Career before being medically discharged. Currently he resided in Kansas City where he was attending the Kansas City Kansas Community College Mortuary Science program, interning at Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory with his mentors. Micky was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed sports such as Frisbee Golf, football, and fishing.

He was the ultimate Dallas Cowboys fan. He is survived by his parents, Sherrie Mosley, David Burke (Kim); siblings, Matthew (Amanda), Amber (Derek), Laynie and Cody, Christina (Danny); youngest siblings, Kellie, Kenddall, and Katie. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews Clay, Lexy, Mackenzie, Anneabella, Lillyen, Nicole, Matt Jr, Ruby, and Karly. Micky was a wonderful influence on anyone he met, kind, brilliant, and is now the families shining star above. Cane, Shirley (Ward) 73, formerly of Conway Springs, died Friday, February 5, 2016 in Webster, TX.

She was born May 2, 1942, to Roy and Opal (Benbow) Ward and graduated from Conway Springs High School in 1960. She married William "Bill" Cane on February 3, 1969. Bill died June 5, 1988. Also preceded in death by parents and brothers, Ray and Glenn Ward. Survivors include: son, Chris (Heather) Cane; granddaughters, Alyssa and Carly; grandson, William (Alysia); brothers, Larry (Janie) Ward of Columbia Falls, MT, John (Pat) Ward; sister, Nancy (Fred) Lange, all of Conway Springs.

Bill was born on June 22, 1950 in Wichita. He graduated from Wichita Heights High School and attended Wichita State University. Bill was an engineer with Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific for 25 years. He loved music and played the violin. He played basketball in school and golf all his life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and parents, Horace and Thelma McGowan Henry. Patsy met the love of her life, Walter Coln and were married for almost 50 years. A graduate of Southwestern College, she was a talented pianist playing for musicians in high school and college. In the summers, she played for musicals at Southwestern and at Vassar Playhouse. She opened her own studio in 1987, teaching students for five years and for the last 25 years she has been the West Heights UMC worship choir accompanist.

Kay also taught classes for NAMI Wichita for families with children living with mental illness. Survivors: husband, Kurt Denton; daughter, Megan Denton; son, Adam Denton; mother, Gweneth Reeder West; father-in-law, Bruce Denton; and sister-in-law, Nancy George. Francis hospital, Cudahy employee and proud US Army Vet, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016. Charley is preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine Gascon (Kemble). Survived by their two children, John and Max Gascon; his loving wife of 40 years, Hilaria; children, Estella Parga, Lorenzo (Ann) Gascon and Carlos Gascon; 4 grandchildren, Elise, Gabriel, Anthony and 3 great-grandchildren, Domenic, Carrmine and Giovanna; sister, Christina (Edward) Esparza; and sister-in-law, Hattie Gascon. A memorial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, at Hillside Funeral Home West. Nathan is preceded in death by his beloved son, Chris, brother, sisters, and parents. Survivors: daughter, Kim (Mike) Eaves of Wichita and their two boys, and 6 kids. Nathan enjoyed watching football, playing cards and many of you will remember him being a wonderful player.

Gooch was a wonderful father and a dear friend to many over the years. Griffith, John Scott 56, of Winnsboro, TX passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016, in Tyler. He was born on February 7, 1959 in Phillipsburg, KS to Delbert Griffith and Marjorie Buckley Griffith. He worked as the Shear Department Supervisor for Priefert Manufacturing in Mt. Pleasant, TX.

He was preceded in death by brother, Don Griffith. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue (Sherwood) Griffith of Winnsboro; parents, Delbert and Marjorie Griffith of Wichita; son, Joshua David (Amber) Griffith of Tulsa, OK; stepchildren, Joshua Taylor of Minco, OK, Brandy Johnson of Lindsey, OK; sister, Barbara Presley of Austin; grandchildren, Nash Griffith, Gunner and Ashlyn Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Kendrick and Reaganne Johnson. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at Pineview Baptist Church, Winnsboro, TX, with Bro. Ronny Spence conducting.

Hawkins, Daisy (Bishop) 97, passed away February 5, 2016. Daisy enjoyed gardening and beautiful flowers. Daisy was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Oliver "Jerry" Hawkins, and her son, James. She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Patricia) and Alan (Dolly); five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
