Several good catfish were caught on the trotline but crappie fishing was poor. Swimming, boating and skiing were good as well as the food. However, a near tragedy occured while Ken Gray and Ronald Bowles were skiing, when they held on to the ski ropes too long and they slammed into the side of the boat dock. C. R. Conger and children flew in last week from Denver, to spend a few days with Mrs. Conger's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Grubb and her grandmother Mrs. Ethel Tait, 3922 S. Cedar. Mr. and Mrs.

Fred Jones, 3811 S. 28th W. have just returned from a 10 day vacation visiting Mr. Jones sister in Birmingham, Ala. While there they had their first family reunion at nephew's summer camp on Warrior river.

Some 52 relatives attended. Mr. Jones' brother and sister from Washington, D. were present. They plan to make this 'an annual affair.

McNulty, 62, of 3632 S. Jackson a repairman for the Texas Co. refinery here, died of leukemia Sunday, Aug. 7 in a Bristow hospital. He had been hospitalized about a week.

Born at Checotah, Mr. McNulty came to Tulsa in 1929. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the United Pentecostal church. Survivors include the widow, Ada, of the home; three sons, Leon McNulty, 2115 W. 41st Jesse McNulty of Tulsa, and Samuel McNulty, 3667 S.

Phoenix two daughters, Mrs. Nora Amos, Lawton; Mrs. Madah Belle, Tulsa; two brothers, Thomas McNulty, Kilgore, and Wash McNulty, Garvin; five sister, Mrs. Della Clark, California: Mrs. Josephine Swindler, Campbell, Mrs.

Anna Owens, San Jose, Mrs. Maude Hendrix, and Miss Lena McNulty, both of Pryor. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Pentecostal church. Interment was in Memorial Park under direction of the Coulter-Brown funeral home.

C. E. Silver Clifton E. Silver, a Tulsa nursing home operator, died of cancer Thursday, Aug 4, in his home at 4711 S. 31st W.

after an 8- month illness. Mr. Silver, 64, a Tulsan 34 years, operated the Silver nursing homes at Lake Station and 1506 S. Quincy aye. The latter home was closed last March.

He was a conductor for the old Tulsa Street Railway Co. before street cars were abandoned in the middle 1930s. In 1937 he opened a nursing home at 604 S. Frisco ave. Mr.

Silver was past president of the Red Fork Lions club, treasurer of the Circle Roundup club and a member of the Red Fork Baptist church, Southwestulsans, and Mounted Sheriff's Posse. He helped organize Circle C's annual horse caravans to the International Cavalcade in Pawhuska. He was an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic nomination for District 2 county commissioner in 1952. He was born in Ocheyedan, Iowa, and was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Susie; two sons, C.

E. Jr. of 3936 East 34th and Jack C. of 520 No. 45th W.

a daughter, Mrg. Betty Herbert of St. Louis; a brother and eight grandchildren, including Joe Davis of the home, whom Mr. and Mrs. Silver reared.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 6, in the Red Fork Baptist church. Burial was in Memorial park under direction of Moore funeral home. 2 Wm. Seabolt Services for William E.

Seabolt, 73, of 821 W. 22nd were held Thursday, Aug. 11 in the Bradley -Agent funeral home chapel in Muskogee. Mr. Seabolt died Saturday, Aug.

6, of injuries in a light July 5. Interment was in Haskell city cemetery. Sam Geurin Sam Geurin, 68, retired Texaco, employe, died Friday, Aug. 5 in a hospital. Mr.

Geurin of 4553 W. 61st retired in 1948 after working for Texaco 26 years. He was born in Arkansas and came to Tulsa in 1922. He was a member of Trinity Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Mabel; a son, Archie of Sherman, three daughters, Mrs.

Dennis Maimbourg of 4501 W. 61st Mrs. J. W. Woodson of 5318 So.

36th W. and Mrs. Floyd Yount of San Francisco; a brother, C. A. Geurin of Benton, his stepmother, Mrs.

N. E. Geurin of Benton; 5 half-robthers, Kelly, Ed, and Virgil, all of Benton, Elmer of McLoud, and Carl of Oklahoma City; two halfsisters Mrs. L. Walpole of Little Rock and Mrs.

Nora L. Caffey Mrs. Nora Lee Caffey, 65, of 907 W. 24th died Saturday, Aug. 6, at her home after a long illness.

Mrs. Caffey was the widow of John H. Caffey, who was killed in an auto accident here March 11. Her husband was a brother of County Commissioner W. V.

'Bud' Caffey. Born in Sulphur Springs, Mrs. Caffey came to Tulsa shortly after World War I. She was 8 member of the Beggs Methodist church. Also surviving are a son, John J.

Jr. of the home; he stepmother, Mrs. Lena Martin of Sayre; four sisters, including Mrs. Bob Posey of Elk City; two brothers, Clovis Martin and Fladger Martin both of Sayre; and two grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday, Aug.

8, in Moore's memory chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. J. M. Hudson James Madison Hudson, 58, of 8400 S.

Union an automobile mechanic, died in a hospital here Wednesday, Aug. 3, following a heart attack. Mr. Hudson was hospitalized after being stricken at work about noon Wednesday. He had been an employe of Bart's garage, 1320 W.

17th pl, for 14 years. A native of Blue Eye, Mr. Hudhon was a member of the Church of God here. Surviving are the widow Rhetta; 3 sons, Jimmy Leo Hudson, 5915 S. 33rd W.

Harvey Earl Hudson, 423 N. Cheyenne Tommy Hudson of the home; daughters, Mrs. Mary Pittman, 1315 N. Richmond Mrs. Linda Faye Franks of the home; Mrs.

Katherine Knight, Catoosa; Mrs. Jewel Wynn, Leach. Also, his mother, Mrs. Bell Hudson, Broken Arrow: 7 brothers, Finace Hudson, 960 W. 20th Jess Hudson, 1717 S.

Independence Robert Hudson, 4627 N. St. Louis Clarence Hudson, 2300 W. 71st Roy Hudson, Broken Arrow; Everett Hudson, Beggs; Russell Hudson, Drumright; 3 sisters, Mrs. Hattie Lane, 7500 S.

Elwood Mrs. Nancy Dorrell, Broken Arrow: Mrs. Eunice Kubb, Weleetka, and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 6, in the West Tulsa Church of God.

Interment in Kellyville cemetery under direction of the Tulsa- Whisenhunt funeral home. G. B. Powell Graveside rites for George Benjamin Powell, 67, Tempe, formerly of Tulsa, were conducted Thursday, Aug 4, in the Bixby cemetery. He died Saturday, July 30 after a 2-weekk illness at the home of a son in Tempe.

Mr. Powell was employed with the Bagby-Harris Sand Co. here and at Jenks before his retirement a year ago. He moved to Tempe last April. Born at Van Buren, he came to Tulsa as a young man.

He served with the army in France during World War I. Survivors include seven sons, Lloyd Powell, 3345 S. Tacoma Donald Powell, 1324 W. 20th George, Glen, Gene Harold Powell, all of Tempe, and Ray Powell, Alpaugh, 5 daughters, Mrs. Josephine Hughes and Mrs.

Imogene Justus, both of Gilbert, Mrs. Essie Ellis and Miss Shirley Powell, both of Bakersfield, and Mrs. Wanda McKinley, Newman, Calif. Also a brother, Andrew Powell of Gilber; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dessie Morris, Vian; Mrs.

Ellie Hulbert, Gore, and Mrs. Elsie Stephenson, Bakersfield; 35 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Leonard funeral home, Bixby was i in charge. FANCY FRYERS LB. 29c U.
