A few weeks ago the headlights of an automobile ignited gas that had accumulated in a ravine and three persons, two youn, ladies and a young man, were burned 1 to death. This accident occurred within a 'quarter of a mile of the proposed route of the railroad. Later, a park from a nail head when struck by a hammer ignited the casinghead and caused the death of one man, the permanent Injury of another and the destruction pf rcuch oil ifield prop erty. This was also within a quart er of a mile of the proposed route of i the road. (Word on the construction of the road from Pemeta to Oilton is now going ahead rapidly.
