He is expected to be Joined in the back court by Captain Rick Dougherty, 61, an exceptional floor general. Just how well St. Marys will do depends on the inexperienced front court.

If size is a criterion, this team could take all the honors in the Classic. A1 Brown, 66M; Clem Maynard, 65; and John Mills, 65, are not only big but agile. The Huskies have fqur starters from the state of New Jersey and Dougherty from Washington, D.C. Fans can expect the Huskies to give the New Haven Chargers, all they want in the opening round. The final game of the opening round will be an all-Maine ffair featuring the Farmington Wate College Beavers under Coach Les MacPhee against host Ricker College.

The maroon and white will have four starters back from last years squad which compiled a 17-4 record, the best percentage for Farmington in 35 years. During my road test of the new 4-wheej drive Jeep Wagoneer for Mechanlx Illustrated, I took It on a turkey shoot In the Florida Everglades. Getting there was half the fun. The Wagoneer cruised effortlessly as fast as the law allowed.

Its power steering is smooth and easy; the ride soft as silk. But when I got therer I flipped It into 4-wheel drive and plunged Into the muck of the swampland. This comfort able, cushy car plowed through like an assault vehicle. It was uncanny that a handsome, luxury station wagon like the Wagoneer could perform In the boon docks with the same easy-going attitude it had on the highway. Its just about the perfect all-around car-good looking, comfortable and, In Jeep 4-wheel drive, Itll go just about anywhere youve got a mind to take it.
